Get there early enough and you could get a game! I have to admit surprise to the fact that there is a league in Malta/Gozo. Tis a while back I was there, but there was no evidence of any type of rugby being played, just football. We used to have a few Maltese crewed ships; I tried to get a 10s side together from the 20 odd footballers on one of them. The temperament was not suitable! I think death allegiances were being made in between the countless cat-fights!

For one of the most conservative nations on the planet, they can appear to be delightfully bonkers at times! A nice respite for a despondent population at the mo'!

Another glorious failure by a British (at the moment) team in the Quali' rounds last night. Scotland's finest, Celtic, lost 1-0 to a team called Lincoln Red Imps from Gibraltar! They are, quite literally akin to a reasonable pub or social club side back in the UK. The way that the Sporting events have been going this year, a couple of dark horses in the final would not surprise at all. I get the impression that the gist of what is being talked about here is the "relatively" new procedure of having to go through a "full" security check even when in transit, which is now implemented almost everywhere. Previously there was only passport checks in transit at a lot of airports. 90 minutes was more than enough time for me at Schipol, but I travel premium class, so am not necessarily best to to advise. Bags will definitely be booked through in a codeshare.

Iceland were grossly underestimated by the media in particular, let's not forget that the reason a team better than England, namely Holland, are not at the Euros is due to Iceland beating them home and away in qualification. However, England were absolutely appalling last night and reflected the state of the country at the moment, totally disjointed and rudderless. Horribilis Sabbati indeed!
