  1. Yes, all three matches were tedious to say the least! Hard to understand why Croatia decided to play like that, but N. Ireland and Switzerland were just playing to "type" really. At least the rugby matches through the day were excellent entertainment (unless you are Welsh of course! )All three matches today could do with the "favoured" teams scoring early as both Slovakia and Hungary, and possibly Ireland will be "parking the bus" for at least the first 80 minutes, if they can get away with it.
  2. Mixed thoughts on N.Ireland drawing Wales in the round, I would have preferred them separate, but at least it guarantees one of the British Isles through to the quarterfinals. I can't see England failing, but Republic will need a minor miracle.
  3. Northern Ireland only has a total of 40 professional footballers to pick from! The other 17 must feel really dejected!!!
  4. "Surprised" me, this one.
  5. Disappointed with that one!.. Jude Law
  6. All the shop-bars on Soi 8 used to put out "rat traps" consisting of an empty pizza box with this horrible sticky rat trap gunge/glue spread over it. If you were "lucky" enough to be around in the early morning you would see these 14" trays full of squirming fur and rat tails being dumped in the bins!
  7. Yes, all the "usual suspects" seem to firing now that the competition is underway, although Turkey have been about the worst team there.
  8. I was probably one of the few United supporters glad to see the back of him, arrogant arsehole. I still remember Rooney (whilst still at Everton) trying to boot him into "row Z" after continual falling over antics on the wing, and sniggering to myself; Rooney got sent off, so it was a "win/win" as far as I was concerned! France left it really late again, and are not anywhere near as convincing as they should be; West Ham's "virtual" bank balance must be increasing £Millions by the day though, and Bilic will be fortunate to keep hold of Payet, one would imagine. Going to Ascot tomorrow, so I w
  9. I'd go with Sturridge and Vardy with Rooney at the head of the "diamond". If he is fit and "up for it" Sturridge is the best of the strikers IMHO. I'd play him now from the start, and if he breaks down, mai pen rai, there is good cover up front. Although I fully expect France or Germany to win, as with you I thought the odds were ridiculously short on either of them or even England as a longshot. So I put a "sporting" sum on "ever there" Italy, whose odds were good value at 20/1 prior to the start. They looked quite good last night, considering the Italian press reckon them to be the worst
  10. Jeez ...That "Pukka" twat gets everywhere ! Good photos again, as ever.
  11. I never really much liked his later stuff, but at the time I really liked this very early single, that Frampton as a very young lead singer (16 or 17 years old) of The Herd made. Had the devil's job getting hold of a 45 copy a few years back, YouTube was not as "all encompassing" then! An insight into the "glorious standard" of video/film accompaniaments available to us back in the mid 60s too!
  12. Opening it up for everyone! Clint Eastwood
