  1. Hope, for his sake, that Vardy turns down the inevitable career ender, for English players, of the move to Arsenal. Literally any other club would be preferable, were the money to be close. Wenger has turned one of the most talented 16/17 year olds, playing a similar game, into an "England reject". When playing for Southampton Walcott was naturally one of the best forwards in that role for his age that there ever has been; Far better than Owen was. All those years sticking him out on the wing, what a waste. He should have sought transfer long ago. Ox is going down the same career mistake there
  2. Bump this one into life again! M83. here with a beautiful piece of pomp and majesty from the excellent Interstellar movie.(All IMHO of course). It does go silent for a few seconds just after the start. It is also being used as Title track for the latest BBC historical extravaganza. (Ist impressions from Episode 1 are pretty good, but a bit "wiggy" )
  3. Great phototrip again : You certainly get around a lot Firth! Work related or active holidaying/retirement ?
  4. I always think of the Bangkok as a sort of "Poundland" ; everything (minor) seems to cost the same - 10,000 Baht. "Muenland" has a good ring to it !
  5. His protegee.... MacKenzie Crook
  6. I just did the subject search and these are all repeats of earlier posts; Hence Jacko's "Robin Williams" is the last correct one. On that note I submit :- Night At The Museum (1st One)

  10. 3 days was very quick, despite their claims of normality so I wouldn't worry yet unnecessarily, but 10 is getting a bit long. A refusal would be accompanied by a letter giving reason. Provided she did not contravene any of the stipulations last time around, I have found, in general, they normally issue subsequent visas without any real fuss. Previous overstays in particular can be troublesome. Appeal process can be quite expensive, especially if it starts to involve "solicitors letters" (you will be billed for their letters too) Much as it aggrieves me to say it, but if you end up needing to a
  11. I definitely seem to pick it up from airline flights rather than elsewhere. (Even travelling in the premium classes won't get you away from it !!!) The flights are worse than ever for this, and many other airborne diseases, somewhat ironically, due to the ban on smoking in aircraft.
  12. "It's interesting to hear how so many villagers stayed during the eruption, and died because of that!! All because they believed that if they left for safety, then the government would come and take their homes and their land away from them, effectively leaving them homeless and without a pot to piss in afterward." You'd think that the lessons from Mount Pinatabu in PI would be taken into consideration wouldn't you? There, the local villagers at least moved away on their own volition, albeit not far enough, prior to the disastrous and fatal explosion.
  13. Home of the "Bring a bottle party" ! OK, that's getting a bit old now !
  14. Hope this isn't a "dead-end" ! Robert de Niro
  15. Just juggled the wording a bit to be more concise !
