That monstrosity is probably a normal person's entire holidays worth of cooked breakfasts on one dustbin lid ! -
Where can I find a good English (Irish or Scottish) breakfast

Hold me back ...... Hold me back !! -
Can only agree wrt Gus Poyet and the Macams. At least Sunderland, along with Palace ( much as I personally dislike Pulis), sacked a lunatic to make way for a well-proven time served manager, unlike others down in the bottom half, where they seem to be sacking really good prospects! As for relegation; I reckon my previous guess of West Ham, is probably not going to happen. I still think Fulham (even more so now) and West Brom ( sorry Eggy) along with Cardiff for the drop. Any other predictions ?

Fulham sack yet another manager and bring in some German off the dole! Ridiculous ........ We probably don't have any real Fulham supporters on here, but they must be flabbergasted. Even that nutter previously in charge, Al Fayad, is being made to look like a visionary by the current owners (American owner of Jacksonville Jaguars I believe). Relegation will be most deserved, and probably inevitable now!

LOL. …… and don't even try to comprehend the Emirates 1st Class decor designer! Almost "tacky" really; fortunately the product is better once you see beyond the garishness!

So we can assume your in depth analysis and solutions for my team are based on this riding statement then ?

Just noticed a small snippet in today's Nation. "Franck Ribery likely to miss CL match with Arsenal due to surgery on his bruised buttocks"...........WTF is that all about ?! The mind boggles!!!!

Nowhere have I stated that "I personally" think that the appointment of Mourinho was the correct way to go "my" feelings are that the right guy is in post now, and the clamour to replace if instantaneous success was not forthcoming, was always predicted from the "keyboard massif". I speak as a lifelong supporter and season ticket holder for over 50 years, and not as a "pro-United Keyboard Warrior", the likes of whom make most football forums unreadable. I also know of Ferguson's attitudes right back to the days when as an occasional young Dunfermline Athletic follower, he did the dirty on them, undoubtedly with the aid of plain brown envelopes. He has not officially turned down a peerage - because he has not officially been offered one. In that sense I too have turned down a peerage !!!!! In terms of success, he has been the best manager ever at United and probably as a club manager, in the world; and his achievement at Aberdeen, albeit with a more generous chequebook for them at the time, was phenomenal. ( Maybe one needs to have a Scottish background to understand the absolute domination of the "Old Firm") As a person I feel he has serious flaws, and altogether, not a scratch on Sir Matt Busby. His latest autobiography, especially his recent spat with Roy Keane, would highlight the massive egotism; not that any great store should be put in any footballer's book! As for alledged sectarianism wtf are you on? the rarified air of Pappy's appartment on a Saturday night ?? !!!!

For all his obvious talents in the management game, Sir Misery's choices both as successor and in many cases player acquisitions have been appalling. Don't forget that his original choice, when he threatened retirement as John Magnier started to question his integrity, was "Mary Poppins" himself…… Steve McClaren ! If the "Buy British" decision was correct, then the most deserving guy, by some distance, has got the job (Brendon Rodgers being the only real competition on the home front). Mourinho was the way to go to ensure continued and instant success, but Fergie's giant ego would not allow that. If Moyes does go, it will be the tune of blazing trumpets and a charge down the stand from behind me, by the ultimate saviour (in his own eyes) Sir Mis himself! ……All in my very 'umble, and slightly jaded, opinion of course !

Yes, that is different. From that photo it looks a bit similar to the advertised Qatar dreamliner set-up for the centre seats. On another tack tho' EVAs timings were always a problem for those not living in Cockneyville (especially with the painfully slow security at Heathrow), and to be honest Heathrow is probably the worst airport in the world to "transit" through. Amsterdam may be a better option, although I prefer "seamless". (IE I don't want to see my poxy suitcases until I reach my destination !)Just had a quick scan of their website. Laughin out loud to the picture in my mind of a troop of tattooed Pattaya monsters disembarking from one of those " Hello Kitty" liveried planes ! I thought it was doing my dubious "cred" no good flying around in that gruesome Manchester City Etihad Airbus!

These awards for airlines often amaze me, and I do feel that there are somewhat dodgy selections (with ulterior motives dictating) at times. I have done an inordinate amount of flights over the past 18 months in either biz or 1st, including a lot of those in that list. I found the new JAL to be really quite claustrophobic, and that was in a window seat. They were harping on about seat width, but I noticed no real difference to Etihads. I was moved to that one as the original passenger couldn't fit in it. The seat width itself is adequate, but the gaps that people have to squeeze through to get to them are not. This fellow was not really much more than standard Pattaya sex pest size! I would put the Cathay seat way above that one, and no mention of Air New Zealand or South African! ……and EVA for goodness sake (unless they have drastically improved over the last two years)! Also Singapore's product is worthy of a much higher spot.

I don't necessarily think so: Arsenal have a bit more plumetting to do yet and it will be them that you are in competition with for that 4th spot.

As a matter of interest Jacko, with you seemingly doing fairly regular journeys back to UK, could you not originate your return trips in UK, and therefore pay the better fares on offer (from the same source in many airlines case) there ?

The general concensus from my area of the stands is that both Rooney and Van Persie will stay. All of these various players may bleat on about playing in the Champions League, but that is only because the wage packet for those clubs reflects it. Jeez if CL appearances were the be all and end all - Celtic would have a team of superstars! Van Persie would be the most likely to leave, but is anyone going to offer him the 260,000 pounds a week, now that he has reverted to his "sickbed routine" again. Rooney's only real outlet would be to Chelski (or possibly PSG), but his latest payrise up to about 300,000 a week (probably to keep him in line with Mata) will keep him happy. Jones was one of the best central defenders in the PL when we bought him, and that is where he needs to play, and bond with Evans. My biggest concern is why the f*** has that despicable Nani been given a new and greatly improved contract. I also think Felationi will be shipped on quite quickly he was a panic buy anyway, and is better suited to other sides. The fix for United will not be rapid; but the question is will the "moronic" element of the supporters have patience. I still maintain that it was purely Fergusons giant ego, that stopped the employment of Mourinho, who would have been a perfect fit for most parties at Old Trafford; and also that the "Great Days" are unlikely to return whilst the Glazers are present. If the real reason was to "Buy British" for the manager, then Moyes was the most deserving and credible choice. Just seen the Liverpool Arsenal result ; Could Liverpool really contend the title; bearing in mind all the other top teams have to go to Anfield ???
-
I am certain he will, he always does ! Question is, will he get away with it; and I think he might … to the tune of 0-1.

A couple of "right royal dickings" handed out to direct competition by Liverpool and City midweek! It is getting quite hard to see any other outcome for the premiership other than a Man. City success. I just hope that they can do it in the Champions League (along with Arsenal) as well. That will clear most of the top opposition away and allow United, who basically have a bye this round, to gloriously win the competition and thereby qualify for next season's CL !!!! … Somebody shoot that pig that has just flown by my window !! Arsenal have a "real" make or break fortnight coming up… They have spectacularly failed in all 3 competitions in similar situations during recent seasons. I hope not, of all the opposition teams, I would like to see them have a bit of success for a change.

I would say in your case (2 weeks time) defo leave it until you get to Thailand.

I thought the OP was looking to the future. IE a visit planned in a couple of months, not now; And the feelings from those in situ as to whether the rate is likely to fall again. My gut feeling is that should the current nausea disappear, then the rates will drop again. (Pound is actually still weak and UK Tories will try to ensure it remains so). However, it is hard to see the current problems in Thailand going away any time soon, so if your visit is within the next couple of months I would also suggest waiting until you arrive in Thailand to exchange. As an aside you can get a rate of 53.8 Baht in the UK at the moment, provided you use one of the brokers and exchange a fairly large wad.

LOL You might need a smoke mask for the Doha - Edinburgh legs ! I'm pretty much booked up now with Emirates First for the rest of the year, but still have one more possible slot from Edinburgh, prior to moving away. I might give Qatar a go for that, if price remains competative.

I always found this place to be the best value on Walking Street. Although, admittedly, my last visit was before the street became a "walking" street ! A whole Pomfret barbecued in a 'nana leaf was the favoured selection for a greedy me !

Probably superfluous info but I came across this yesterday for the first time, using a different pc to normal. However I did not deliberately enter Pattayatalk, but was using a "search result" for some query that I had made on Google. I could not get out of the redirect to the pattayatalk subject.

Do you have the room number Severn?. I have a friend shortly due to stay there and both safe (him) and douche ( his mia noi) were important facilities.

As Jacko sort of alluded too, it is a bit pointless buying anything if you are beyond say 60 ish, and have no dependants requiring cash or a place to live when you kick the bucket. "Extreme" LDOPs and people with just too much dosh excepted of course. LOL Due to huge over-supply, rentals are good value in Pattaya, as long as you avoid the very obvious con-merchants.

Vegetarian restaurants in Pattaya
Fatboyfat replied to chouttoumatte's topic in Restaurants and food
Saras within the Sun City Hotel on Pratamnuk Road is the best absolutely dedicated veggie restaurant that I have found. I am not a veggie myself by any means, but am not averse to the cuisine. This one is primarily Indian food, but does have Thai and Chinese sections; alledgedly they do cater for the more " hard-core" Vegans too. The Dosas were excellent last time I was there. I also believe that they offer a part menu ( suited dishes) on the various delivery services around town. Be aware though, as with most of the joints in this location, and that they are "squatting" within an hotel, it is not particularly cheap.
