  1. I think (as well as nearly all pundits) that their squad is not strong enough, and the loss of Giroud could be critical should that happen. That goalkeeper can be decidedly dodgy on occasions too!…Their next 3 or so fixtures could provide a clearer picture of their credentials. You unfortunately can change your vote in the poll at any time. I changed mine to Liverpool to piss Paps off !
  2. To be honest I don't recollect Noi; however I did have a very pleasant 3 nights with Eat, pictured in the Stickman article, in the 70s!
  3. LOL. You haven't bought the Drunken Duck, have you Pattayaman2001 ?
  4. Stoke should have buried it in the first half really. Despite Mo's comments we were absolute shite again, and are surviving on the efforts of Rooney and RVP with a little help from De Gea! Midfield is non-existant. On another note, I can't see Liverpool keeping hold of "Nibbler" Suarez much longer (unless they double his wage; alledgedly half that of Rooney and RVP). He is looking the "hottest" property in Europe at the moment…much as it aggrieves me to say it.
  5. "An ahm tellin yous; If yous gunna write a book, you'd better start off slaggin' all those players that won yous anything !"
  6. I thought you and the "Ignored Massif" approved his train of thought !
  7. That is exactly what it looks like!…and reminds me of an abomination that was served up to me when it was still under the "Blue Parrot" guise. However, somebody once posted a photo of "Biscuits & Gravy" on here, which was equally as stomach churning ! Unfortunately I have found the "Tex-Mex" fare in Pattaya from the "established" restaurants to be of a pretty poor standard (my opinion of course) and much better examples produced as "one off" type dos at bar parties etc.
  8. Holloway has gone ! There is now a distinct lack of Clowns in charge of EPL clubs… First Di Canio, then Hollaway, and Redknap still languishing in the championship! It must be time to resurrect Judy Collins' greatest hit "Send in the Clowns" !
  9. LOL ! Patna…You appear to be attracting almost "Gaborlike" heckling here!! Bet you wish that you stuck to the excellent photos of the female form ! Oh yes, that coffee cup doesn't look very full to me !
  10. Rumours, but with enough smoke to bring out a string of very public denials!
  11. The problem with Jones and to an extent Smalling, is they are being played out of position, for most of the time, and used as "jack of all trades". Both were out and out central defenders, and rarely get the chance to play in that position…in hindsight they would have fared better out on loan, as they should be the future centre pairing. We do need cover though, for the two incumbant "potential crocks". Both Wes Brown and John O'Shea suffered from the same syndrome in the past. On another note; Expect Zaha to go out on loan/sold having being caught "porking" Mo's daughter !
  12. Well I am not missing the main point ……230 Baht is an exceptional price for a Western meal of that standard, surely a " loss leader" !
  13. They've had "two tiered" airport taxes before. Perversely charging Thais much more than foreign visitors.
  14. Mine gave up Skyping me in the middle of the poxy night !!! Praise be to Buddah
  15. Have to agree with the shit service quotes. I have always gone there as the only farang in a reasonably large party of Thais (6-10). The Thais complain about the service and we no longer go there. I was told that "they only care about the tour bus loads", and therein lies the other problem with the place.
  16. I can't see it happening in the form stated in the article; However; a similar hoik in "Airport taxes" would be quite likely. ( That's how they do it in UK )
  17. Haven and Ma Maison on Soi 13 would appeal to your needs (Haven is a Golfers hang out). To be honest tho' there are umpteen different places meeting your criteria around Pattaya.
  18. One of the less credible "adages" from my early seafaring days was "Never trust a man that doesn't drink" Times have changed a bit !
  19. City is just poor performance though and could be improved upon. Liverpool and even moreso Arsenal (bearing in mind their Euro commitments) have no cover in depth; should injuries and inevitable bans occur. Both of these teams have proven to be strong for only part of the season in recent years. I seem to remember Arsenal "blowing" everything in the space of about 10 days (all 4 competitions) not that long ago.
  20. What is the gripe with these things anyway? Seems like pure bloody-minded spitefulness from the anti-smoking brigade to me
  21. 2nd photo is the old Sri Nakorn bank sign (second missus used to bank with them, before they went kaput in the late 90s crash). Don't know where the photo's location is tho'. Krung Thai and another bank took over their "mess". 3rd shot is defo Don Meuang airport in the 80s colour scheme. 1st one (hotel) could be anywhere if it was a film set !
  22. 'Pologies in advance Nev…… but all I am picturing is Pleng on the "gyno table" !
  23. Pulis for Derby apparently ! Whoever takes over from "Coco" di Canio is going to have a hard time. The players there are hardly worthy of a Championship side, and look similar to an Italian Serie B side !
  24. Where is the Rugby sitting nowadays? In particular the 6 Nations for this season?
