Apologies. For some strange reason I thought the discussion was about EVA!

On the LHR / BKK route, some are 3-3-3 and some 3-4-3. If you want to know which before you book, you need to 'phone them.

It neither speeded up nor slowed down my processing. However, I saw one IO have to leave his seat to assist an elderly Chinese-looking guy with it. Just need a few of those and it will slow down things.

The talks today failed. Strike still on. https://www.taiwannews.com.tw/en/news/3736942

Yes, BR67 and 68 are not listed amongst the cancellations they have published from today to 12 July. I wonder if they are going to spread the pain and include them in the next lot of cancellations.

Ditto me. Oh!! That's a shame. I hope that fate does not befall the LHR/BKK route.

Yes, you've hit the nail on the head. I'm not looking forward to what I think I'm going to have to deal with.

The food court at the Second Road end of the basement of Central Festival mall will be closing today. It is moving / has moved to the Beach Road end, next to Micky D's. I suspect shortly a larger area will be open than is currently the case. -

Strike probably called off but problems for a few more weeks: https://www.taiwannews.com.tw/en/news/3734838 The complete resumption of normal services following the vote by flight attendants Saturday (June 29) to end their 10-day strike might take until the end of July, EVA Air reportedly said. Since June 20, about 1,000 flights were canceled, affecting an estimated 200,000 passengers, with public opinion divided between supporters of the employees’ cause and critics who blamed the union for disrupting travel plans. After 14 hours of voting Friday and Saturday, the Taoyuan

I'm beginning to get a bit worried now; I'm wondering if EVA has in mind to do to the cabin crew what Reagan did to the air traffic controllers in 1981.
-
I am reminded on the EVA app I have on my phone that if I booked through a travel agent, it is the travel agent I need to contact, not EVA, in the event of a problem.

I've read that the Americans think the opposite, and have complained that the Baht is being artificially held down. -
That's surprising. Who made up for the Chinese? Maybe the Indians?

I arrived at Swampy at about 3.40 pm yesterday. There was a man holding a board with my name on it at the end of the gangway. He took me to the Fast Track Immigration counters. I didn't have to queue. The fingerprinting was easy and quick - but the instructions were in English, so I'm not sure everyone will regard them as straightforward. I didn't have hold luggage, so I'm not sure if the guy would have stayed to make sure such luggage arrived. As I might have guessed, I gained very little by paying for this service: neither of the regular Immigration areas was particularly busy
