  1. 555 if they can even fool JK , no one and I mean NO ONE is safe!
  2. Breakfast and lunch in pattaya is the same thing so you basically covered half the day's activities!
  3. sorry to hear of your problems. My family has a diabetic history so I am just waiting for it! it would be useful for you (and maybe me) to find out what Diabetes is called in thai in case you need to eat out and have the cook put less sugar , sauce etc into your food.
  4. It seems the real picture is slowly coming out and still the English FA is looking for excuses.
  5. Yeah but the winner of current world cups are always teams that peak during the 4th year cycle in July not a consistent team in 4 years. It would be great to watch for example Thailand v Brazil (in bangkok) in a competitive game where Brazil needs a 6-7 goal swing to climb 2 spots etc. I'm sure it wont be the only innovation idea to come out. Maybe water soaked jerseys before start of play? Water stations around the pitch? Some hovering robot to squirt water on any player during break of play?
  6. Why all the anomosity towards change? Fear of the unknown? Who knows but Russia and Qatar may be the best world cup ever. We are already seeing Brazil trying to clean up their crime rate. And many others have mentioned how hosting the WC benefited S Africa , USA , Korea/Japan etc as well as the changes made for (before and after) world cups like the introduction of drinking water , goalkeeper's 6 sec rule , tackles from behind etc. Many people were fearful of Euro96 being a hooligan fest but it turned out to be one of the best .... where football came home! Give them a chance , Englan
  7. 5555 very true ...words of a wise man. Dont eat where you shit!
  8. i assume you're just talking about the bar/resturant businesses? Thailand is a great place to do other businesses ; just supporting the bars would be great. i would love to run a booze supply business ; still be around the girls but without the hassle of the bar logistics.
  9. This is one dish I always have when in Pattaya , sometimes everyday! Have yet to try it at PBG as the 4-5 times I went there , they were sold out!
  10. MM - on the next poll , just group they according to FIFA! Direct all your questions to them and saves you all the arguments. Anyway , I would prefer a well balanced forum. Main point of a forum is for different views and local knowledge of what you do not know. Whats the point of a 100% americian or UK forum when you want pictures and first hand reports of locals in Pattaya etc?
  11. Shouldnt it be called Dave's BBQ now? Good luck on your venture.
  12. No I am not american. I agree with you on some points like its a money world cup and the selection method but I think its gone to the correct countries. I think the 4 yearly world cup is just a money spinning event. Its like an event to find out who peaks at the right time in four years! I would like to see it replaced by a 4 year league with countries playing home and away. Who knows what they will do during/after the Qatar WC to combat the heat? Personal juice boxes? Years ago , players werent allowed to drink water while playing. All that changed after
  13. What's all this crap about not being to play in heat or rain or snow? In case you forgoten , its called the World Cup ; NOT 'PLAYING IN COMFORTABLE CONDIOTIONS FOR CRYBABY PROS' CUP! So what if its in 100C heat , its a condition in one part of the world and its a tournement where teams from all corners of the earth take part. Personally I think its a good decision taking the cup to places its never been. Looking at the trend of the last few awards to 1st timers , I wondered why USA , England , Korea and Japan even bothered. Maybe we'll even see football change in Qatar. Football do
  14. If you've been to Central Festival , is almost a repeat of resturants but maybe the new place has a little more. But Big C will always hold a place in my heart as the first major shopping landmark in Pattaya for me.
  15. Father Ray's not here to defend himself anymore, so lets not get into all that. Even if there was something fishy , what he started is something worth supporting. What I am concern is the current administrators but they look like they need all the help they can get. I'll do something , just have to decide on the scale of it.
  16. Thanks CT ; found the site and thread but not sure if its the same orphange spinoff. http://www.thepattayaorphanage.org/index.php http://www.pattayatalk.com/forums/index.ph...t=0&start=0
  17. The recent ads on Father Ray on Pattaya television really struck a cord with me so I did a search on him but didnt seem to find a single topic on this forum dedicated to him. Was he as great as the television ads put him? The reason I am asking is I want to make a donation to his foundation but need to know the money is well spent.
  18. thanks for the eyeopener. Never knew about it and now Pattaya just got a little bigger! :)
  19. flying there for a dirty weekend on a cheap tiger flight eh? 55555 me too ; for loy krathong!
  20. Forget about GPS. Best thing is to take a day off drinking in the middle of your vacation and walk the entire Soi7/8 to Big C then to Beach road then to Walking street then 2nd road to Soi Diana up Soi Baukow to Tuk.com. After a day (or 2) walking , you'll know the place like the back of your hand.
  21. f you're a newbie , go for it but after once , never will I go Lobster Pot again. Overpriced medicore food.
  22. Yeah I forgot about them! Try the traditional kopi ............ a little to sweet but I just ask them for less sugar. http://blackcanyoncoffee.com/menu/menu-item.php?id=33
  23. actually you have a point too! but its still better than the swill water from SB.
  24. Starbucks? you got to be kidding! Best is still the road side carts especially those that line Central Festival in the morning ; before the shopping centre opens. Its Nescafe but the amount and the milk they put in is heaven! Aother one is at the 2nd road enterence of Soi Honey.
