  1. Got back last Wednesday, yep will be going direct with Thai next year. Might cost more but be a bloody lot quicker and more comfty. The passport/immigrations in KL LCT must be one of the slowest on the planet.
  2. Definately guest friendly, I've taken 4 or 5 back with me. Hey don't get carried away I'm not that good they were the wife's friends but great fun nights anyway. Cheers, Kev
  3. I'm flying AirAsia next week PER-KL, rhen KL-BKK and vice versa a few weeks afterwards. So far they have changed the time on the BKK to KL flight to an extra 2 hours, which really didn't bother me as we are staying in Kl for a couple of days. The clincher was when they cancelled my KL to BKK flight and put us on a later flight, which would have mean't staying 6 1/2 hours at bloody KLL airport. Anyway I managed to change to an earlier AirAsia flight but because it was operated by Thai AA and not Malaysia AA (got me stuffed) it costs me an extra $250 AUD for two people to make the change. Anyway next time I think I will give these guys a bloody miss and I'm saying this before I even fly with the buggers.
  4. No safe in renovated rooms, but I think extra 100 Baht for reno room, but looking at web site they don't have separate prices so maybe all the rooms have been rennovated now. Pool on 3rd floor, not huge by any stretch of the imagination but got refurbished last year as well. See site for more: http://www.baybreezepattaya.com/
  5. Seeker did you stay in one of the renovated rooms or not, from the photos looks like not? Worth the extra 100 baht to stay in renovated room. I will be here with the mrs come late Nov. Cheers, Kev
  6. Quite happy with the suggestions provided including the bolt to the floor safe, but what is the location you are looking at? That is a major factor when I choose a hotel besides price.
  7. Come on Joe he doesn't need any encouragement
  8. Hehe any prizes for being the first to get disqualified!
  9. 1 googol or 1 to the 100th power
  10. Me too all I get is upgrade to Photo Bucket Pro!!!! Mind you nice shirt birthday boy! I think MM mentioned this to Hammer a while ago
  11. So Gabar is Harris Black? Doesn't look like him in the photo in the Pattaya Daily News (OK it does a bit)
  12. Anyone got one of these websites that has Air Asia X please?
  13. What they don't sell bloody beer - you are Bullshitting me I hope!!!! Just checked the website - Airasia X sell cans of Carlesberg for 10Rm, Air Asia don't sell beer. Thank f for that I though I was going to fly from Perth to KL dry!!!!!
  14. This may sound silly but why not just take it easy and ride it down over a couple of days.
  15. Just notice last couple days Talk is very slow in loading and response time. Other sites I access are fine. Is it just me or anyone else notice anything?
  16. I have used C&N Hotel and so has a mate of mine and we were both happy with the place, as someone said 1 Soi from the top of Bangla Road. Yes there is no pool but the beach isn't that far away Mick (about 1 1/2 blocks). For your dates you would get the VIP room for 1700 bht, which I can say is a very big and roomy room.
  17. Look bloody nice but a few years too early for me.
  18. Now that was way too funny
  19. Mmmmm js007 sounds like a good plan to me
  20. Interesting article Mick, might try it at home (that is break the stem and rub on myself) and see if it works. We have a few mossies at home in West Aust as well mate.
  21. Now this looks great, but I reckon 2 seater would have been better. http://www.metacafe.com/watch/2934869/new_single_seat_vw/
  22. Those photos from image venue look decent to me MM.
  23. Other places in Thailand besides Pattaya Dietrich.
  24. Actually my wife asked this a while ago when we went fishing. In Mandurah (Western Australia) there are quite a few house boats and she reckons they would be great in Thailand and probably a good selling point. They are a bit different to the houseboat seen in Europe. BTW mrs is Thai.
