Gee first post and already trying to stir the pot!!!!

Last trip I was there (Nov) I saw him wheeling his bike into a guest house on Soi 10 (same one as Bay Breeze) not Soi 11.

I was hoping this service would be up and running last month when I was there. Oh well have to wait until next year now! At least I will be able to read some reviews before doing it.

Went there two times while on holidays in November (5 of us), both times good service and food. No complaints from any of us. The wife, son and girl friend even said the Thai food was great. First time myself and mum had the fush and chups (good stuff), second time I had green chicken curry, once again good stuff. We sat out over the water.

Just a quick one they stopped using the safes a few years ago because they had a problem with thefts from them, that is why everything is down at the reception safe deposit boxes. To tell the truth I don't know why they don't rip the safes out now that they don't use them.

Just read this bit of news in today's West Australia. Thought it might interest a few golfers up there. "Tiger Woods will play in a one-day skins tournament in Thailand next month. Organisers announced on Thursday that Woods will return to his mother's home country for the first time in 10 years to compete in an event that was part of celebrations to mark King Bhumibol Adulyadej's 60th year on the Thai throne. The skins tournament will be played on November 8 at the Amata Spring Country Club in Chonburi, a seaside province southeast of Bangkok. England's Paul Casey, Colombia's Camilo Villegas and Thailand's top player Thongchai Jaidee are also competing in the event. The event will be held the day after the HSBC Champions tournament in Shanghai."

Forest are you talking about the power? - same as Oz except you need an adapter (2 pin) not angled. if talking TV I think they have one Aussie channel on the cable TV, but I don't watch much TV mate. Cheers, Kev

Stayed at the Bay Breeze plenty of times, good value in my opinion. Like said before once the staff get to know you it is sure to be good. Has a pool as well. Give the night security guard (fat bloke, bald head) a packet of cigarettes every now and then and he will make sure every thing is taken care of. Cheers, Kev

Bay Breeze is a good cheap hotel - make sure you get a refurbished room though. I stay there every year when over in Pattaya and there is no joiner fee for sure. 100m to Walking Street - I don't think so - more like 1km, but easy to walk down to beach road and jump on a baht bus.
