  2. I think it is on Soi 2.
  3. That was quick!
  4. Also when will the place have all those beer bars, any there at the moment? Sounds like a plan, I mean BGs and customers all like to eat, might have to stop the street carts coming through though.
  5. We arrived in BKK on that same day at about 3:30 PM and the arrivals hall was much the same took about 1:45 hours to get through.
  6. Gents, My wife's N8 main board needs replacing, I have been quoted $180 AUD over here in Perth (approx 5,400 bahts). My question is does any one know approx how much it would cost to get fixed over there please? My guess is that it would be a lot cheaper and I have to make an unexpected trip over on the 2nd March anyway. Thanks in advance, Kev
  7. I think he would rather fill the hole with the old fella wouldn't he?
  8. Bugger have to make an unscheduled trip on 2nd March, will spend most of the time up in Chaiyaphum but was thinking of getting a couple days in Pattaya before we fly back on the morning of the 18th. Do you think hotels will be full for the music festival or not?
  9. I booked a flight for my wife's son on cc previously with Thai air and they asked to see card on both legs of the journey. Luckily he come over when we were coming back from holidays, and vice versa we dropped off at the airport when he came back to Thailand. Funny though when I book a ticket in my own name and my wife they never ask to see the card.
  10. BBQs!! THey seem very expensive in Thailand for some reason.
  11. Stayed in AA on Soi 13, just too old and thread bare for my liking, better deal would be at Bay Breeze Soi Honey Inn compared to AA. Anyway Fondles as this thread is 5 days old where did you end up parking him?
  12. I'm about 10 years off retiring (or maybe part time retirement) but when I do I plan 6 months or so in Thailand and 6 months here in Perth. I think I would go troppo or drink myself to an early death if I lived in Thailand 12 months a year.
  13. Yep that was the first thing I learnt in Thai.
  14. Shite that sounds cheap, unfortunately I'm not in Thailand.
  15. Probably depends on the size of the pig.
  16. yep crock pots and rice cookers are not quite the same.

  18. actually my wife and myself live in sunny Perth Oz,, last xmas and this xmas we will be celebrating with about 20 people coming over for lunch and drinks etc.... my wife has plenty of Thai friends and they absolutely love to celebrate xmas. better than spending it alone.
  19. Nope keep the bloody mangos in the fridge and the bananas on the bench. Bloody mangos go off very quickly in the heat and last longer in the fridge????
  20. this topic is making me bloody hungry, might have to get the better half to make some sticky rice tonight, we have a couple of mangos in the fridge I still get my Thai tucker over here in Oz
  21. Fondles she was able to save $300, not $300 from Oz
