    For me the major issue is loading photos. I try to clear cache daily now but I still rarely get the upload options -option if you know what I mean and then trying to upload is either a no go or hit and miss.

    Exactly which is why with so many farangs floating about that they don't get someone to write it up for them or at least run a critical eye over it. I realise that for some this is a face thing as when in NZ I re-wrote and Indian menu that had something like 120 errors in it. They had to pay me, pay to reprint the menu and in doing so made a couple of alterations and fuck me but they got them wrong.

    The last time I read this subject proof of Pattaya residency was required to get the card. Has this system changed? Its a bit dire suggesting that we emigrate to get a reduced price beer. IMHO a discount deal like this is quite counter productive and gives a discount to the minority, ignoring the majority of visitors who turn up on a regular basis.

    I think that all the banks use Bua Khao. This is another variant in that it makes it into two words where as the majority of the spelling make it a single word

    I had planned a photo essay on Soi Buakhao(?) however the uploader keeps letting me down, so to speak. So far I have seem shops or businesses with the following: Buakhao Boukhao Boakoah Buakhaw Buakhouw Buakhoa and the most out there, Buaklaow I am sure there are many others but at least I am not on my own in getting the spelling wrong or changing it every time I write the name ( Note to Andy, in French is it Beaucoup or Beauvache?) feel free to add if you want.

    This is a good watch and as far as I can tell the man in reality is little removed from the portrayal here. I believe he is on a murder charge at the moment.

    I thought that I would update my situation with opening an account. I decided to transfer some money from my home account to the Kasikorn in Pattaya. I had a couple of goes at it and eventually got it right. What I had to do was change the local currency into Thai baht and pay a transfer fee. The next morning the transfer had gone through and was in my Thai bank. I have however an issue and cannot seem to bring up an itemised account in order to sort it out and perhaps someone here knows the answer. There is an amount of 290 baht taken out of my account and I have to assume that Kasikorn took this as I have paid my fee at home for the transfer.Any ideas why such a high charge presumably as part of the transfer?

    As for the question well I too have wondered about this. Because of culture and training I get rid of my tissue down the crapper but I do wonder at times if the intention of the signs is to request that you dump the crappy ones in the bin as well. I am pleased that I am not the only one giving serious thought to this question!

    Its been said but perhaps a guest house in the Soi LK area. Good prices, great location and easy to get everywhere.
