As you exit the customs/baggage hall at Suvarnabhumi airport and turn right to head to the meeting points there are couple of mobile phone operators on your left hand side. I can't remember which companies are represented but last May I used the one that offered a tourist sim and it worked perfectly for the three weeks I was their. You need to hand over your passport so they can copy the details and they will fit the sim to your phone and check it is working. From memory I think it was around 480bt which included a set amount of talk time and a decent chunk of mobile data.

Yes - Also on arrival in BKK if flying business you get a fast track pass and are entitled to a chauffeur driven Mercedes to your hotel (up to 60k's I think it is).

Best - Last two business class flights on Emirates an A380 Sydney to Bangkok. Selected seat 23A both times which is the first window seat in the small aft section of 5 rows. It has a bulkhead in front so makes it feel like you are in a space all of your own. Only a few more steps aft and you are in the bar which is open for the entire flight. Service and food are excellent and the Sydney lounge is awesome.

As mentioned in an earlier post of mine made recently, I was extremely satisfied with the service provided and I don't have an issue with the 50bt increase. I do have a suggestion however. On every trip I sat in the left rear seat as the cars always have the front left passenger seat pushed as far forward as possible to allow for maximum legroom. This is great for comfort, however I also like to see where I'm going and the head rest on the front passenger seat always obscures my forward view. As such, providing there is nobody in the front passenger seat it would be awesome if the head rest were removed.

During my recent trip in March/April this year I used Nams Taxi Service 5 times for the following journeys: Suvarnabhumi to Dynasty Inn Bangkok Suvarnabhumi to Astera Sathorn Bangkok Astera Sathorn Bangkok to Don Muang Don Muang to View Tally 6 Pattaya View Tally 6 Pattaya to Suvarnabhumi To put it simply her service is superb. On every pickup her drivers were on time, extremely pleasant and very careful drivers. Her communications were also excellent and her prices were fair. I had also used her service on four occasions last May with the same results In conclusion, if you are looking for a reliable taxi service, with good drivers that are on time for pickups, look no further than Nams Taxi service – You won’t be disappointed.. One final point – On two of the pickups I had my Thai wife with me and the driver and her naturally chatted away in Thai and the driver revealed how often she got hit on by customers and occasionally felt uncomfortable with Indian customers. For fucks sake guys – These ladies are providing an awesome service and do this because they don’t want to work in the bars, so treat them with respect – They deserve it. http://www.namstaxipattaya.com/services

My mum used to make corned beef and onion with tomato sauce on white bread - fucking awesome.

Flew on Emirates A380 SYD to BKK last May and really enjoyed the flight. I agree with the comment on the large open business class area upstairs but was lucky enough to take heed of Seat Guru and ended up booking seat 23A, which is in the smaller aft business class section. Seat 23A also has a bulkhead in front of it so you have extra legroom and feel nicely cocooned. Its also only a short walk to the bar at the back of the smaller business class section. I'm flying this April on the BKK to SYD A380 Emirates flight and have again booked business class seat 23A - Great way to travell!

Cobra Gold 2018 (updated Jan. 17, 2018)
kuranda_bagman replied to Evil Penevil's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
I recall a birthday party I held at the old Cherry Bar on soi 8 that coincided with Cobra Gold and we had a number of marines in the bar having a great night. They were no problems at all and the thing that impressed me the most was how polite they were, not to mention the fact that they kept buying me drinks. -
What I hate about this thread is that for about 12 months after Bite Me first opened I would drool over the photos at home and think that when I finally returned to Pattaya this would be my daily dinner spot as the style and value of the meals was right up my alley. Sadly when I did return in May/June this year the place wasn't open and now I have to go through the same process of drooling at home again :-(

My mum used to make us tinned corn beef, raw onion and tomato sauce sandwiches - Really liked them and still occasionally have them to this day.

Flew in at 1:00am on Sun 21 May and immigration was rammed solid. It looked like 3 flights from China had arrived at the same time plus my A380 from Sydney. Fortunately flying business class I was able to use the premium lane. I hate to think how long it would have taken to get through otherwise.

Had a club sandwich for lunch on Monday - The sandwich was perfect, the wedges awesome being golden on the outside whilst soft and fluffy on the inside. The small salad was also tasty. Excellent value for 140bt and the service was great.

Had the club sandwich there around 1:00pm today. Staff and service excellent, price amazing at 140bt for what you got, sandwich was great, wedges were awesome being crispy on the outside but soft on the inside and the salad was just enough. Would I go back? Hell yes - This is still one of the best value for money places in Pattaya.

Pattaya dentists
kuranda_bagman replied to joseph1's topic in Doctors, Dentists, Clinics and Hospitals
I have had extensive dental work (8 crowns and three tripple bridges) done in Pattaya over the years at a 1/4 of the price it would have cost in Australia. I have never had any problems with any of the work and on the one occasion I needed to go to an Australian dentist all he kept saying as he examined me was "the quality of your dental work is superb"! -
First class assessment of the game Fatboyfat - Have to agree with everything you said and as an Aussie I think we were incredibly lucky to get out of jail. Just a shame the result came down to another referee decision.
