Hotel in the heart of the action?
kuranda_bagman replied to Sailfast's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
The Marriott would be their best bet. -
You can guarantee that 100% - With Dennis (the owner) being one of the nicest Irish guys you could ever wish to meet in Pattaya it's a certainty.

I also get the same warning using Opera - Strangely this is the only site that I have ever had the warning.

My Dental experience
kuranda_bagman replied to BeerBelly's topic in Doctors, Dentists, Clinics and Hospitals
Have to agree 100% Martin I had so much work done by her and she was the best dentist I have ever visited. As I had her private email address I contacted her to see if she was practising in Chang Mai as I was prepared to trave up there Sadly she advised she no longer practices. However, she did recommend Dr Wongspat who she used to work with at PIH and has now set up his own practice. As such, I made an appointment to see him in May and ended up getting a 3 crown bridge and rear molar crown. The cost was 3 x bt 13,000 for the porcelain crown bridge & bt 18,000 for the -

Just an update on my suit. I ended up using AMA Fashions (opposite Tops supermarket) on Pattaya Klang. I have to say all the reviews about them were 100% accurate. I was greeted with cold drinks and no hard sell. I had come prepared with a photo of the style of suit I wanted and with that we set about choosing the fabric. The process was really professional and I was presented with three prices for the three levels of fabric I had been shown. Once I selected the price I wanted I was measured for the suit and my first fitting was scheduled for 2 days later. I was d -
DK Car & Motorbike Rentals(2 New bikes now available)
kuranda_bagman replied to PoolHustler's topic in Transport in Thailand
Rented a twist and go automatic bike from Kevin for the last two weeks of May. Excellent service. The bike was delivered and picked up at the Metro Apartments on time as requested. It was in perfect condition and never missed a beat during the hire period, except when I tried to start it with the kick stand down - Duh!. A quick text to Kevin who promptly responded and let me know of my error and all was fine. Seriously guys, Kevin provides a great service with quality bikes and all I can say if you go elsewhere your are seriously wasting your time - This business is the only way to go. -

I purchased four boxes (50 per box) of Kamagra jells yesterday for 1,200 bt per box at a local 2nd road pharmacy - No questions asked - Also advised they were the the good quality jells from India, not the inferior Chinese ones. Price for two boxes was 1,500 bt per box. -

Thanks for the reply - I did a Google search as per my post header and AMAA came up straight away - One of the hits was from Trip Advisor and on their they got some really good feed back, so much so that I was planning on using them - Your recommendation has sealed the deal - Thank you. And thanks to everyone else that posted. -
Ill be in Pattaya during the second half of May and need some recommendations for a good quality honest tailor. Ive searched the forum but there doesnt appear to be any updated information. I require a quality 3 piece suit for my daughters wedding that can be completed during my 2 week stay. I would also appreciate an indication of the costs involved.

A word of warning - Bazzap from this board just returned from Pattaya where he purchased a copy Galaxy S2 as he dropped his genuine one, which stopped working. He rang me yesterday and was complaining that the reception was really tinny and the phone in general was a piece of crap. So much so that he has already ordered a new genuine one. -

What do you think this really means?
kuranda_bagman replied to MM's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
If you look at the plumbing in most shop houses you will notice they use 2" to 3" diameter pipes to connect toilets to the sewers whilst in western countries they use 5" to 6" pipes. Subsequently the smaller diameter pipes block easily when tissues along with turds try to negoitate the smaller pipes. -
Great stuff - Well done

Triangle Bar Business Thread
kuranda_bagman replied to Triangle Bar's topic in Bars/Gogos/Business Owners' Forum
There is no missing money. Each diner ends up paying $9 ($9 x 3 = $27) Each diner still has $1 in their pocket $1 x 3 = $3 ($27 + $3 = $30) Therefore the $2 in the waitress’s pocket is part of the $27 that the diners paid. In conclusion, $25 went to the restaurant, $2 to the waitress, and the remaining $3 went back to the diners ($25 + $2 + $3 = $30) -
