Finally remembered to ask my mate. He bought them in an ex-pat shop in Udon who’s owner got them from his supplier in Pattaya. Not cheap, obviously as imported, after his GF expressed a yen for them he brings them over himself now. So I suppose if you can buy them in Udon from a man who gets them in Pattaya they must be available to the locals!
