Bit difficult as I live in Britain so if I move to another area I would still be in Britain . As I have a good job with no commute decent wages and minimal work I think I will pass on your life style advice.

How were you scammed? Did they charge you an extra 3% after you had settled the bill? Or did they tell you that by paying by CC you will be charged extra? A common charge in Thailand when paying by CC I’ve found.

Joe do you ever get out of the house or is the chip on your shoulder just too much of a burden? No Joe I was actually watching a documentary on BBC 4 about John Steinbeck last night presented by Melvin Brag (you can go on the internet and confirm if you like) and was totally amazed that Americans could treat fellow Americans in such a way especially in what I would consider the “modern“ world. . 　 It was not a “dig” at Americans or America just a observation on the human condition.
