lanzalad, you did an incredible refurb on that place. Based on the pictures you provided, you pretty much updated everything you could in such a small space. One real estate caveat though comes to mind...http://www.realtor.com/advice/buy/why-you-should-never-buy-the-best-house-in-the-neighborhood/ It's doubtful whether any unit in that development is as nice as yours, hence you get lowball offers like the above, based on average selling price.

Immigration puts personal details online for all to see
MM replied to Chang_paarp's topic in Expat Issues
I just completed my 90 day report online a few weeks ago to avoid going to the Jomtien Immigration office, on the off chance they might be handing out that stupid form. Well, the report was approved, but I can't get their website to print the form I need to insert in my passport, due to some continuing issues with the crappy certificates. If they should decide to require this new information, I suppose that means (1) abandoning the online 90 day reporting OR (2) updating the online reporting software to include those questions (and probably screwing it up even more). I've been over to his condo for Minix maintenance and support, and yes, it is accessible from Sukhimvit..Spanish Condos is the development name.

Look at the size of that trailer at a cost of $1800 fully furnished. Wow! Don't forget riding in a car without seat belts.

Thanks for the ongoing insight into Pattaya goings-on. Ten years? Wow!

When I went to my local pharmacy, I asked if they had it, and they did. Locally, it's marketed as Valian-X, but the ingredients shown on the back of the box is "Valerian root powdered extract 445mg, eq. to dried root of Valeriana officinalis 2000mg". The box contained 10 capsules and cost 180 baht. The street view location of the pharmacy is https://goo.gl/OeqeXgwhich is on Thappraya Road next to the Family Mart at Soi 5, on the way to Jomtien. . It's along the baht bus route. In the street view picture, the pharmacy is called D&M, but since that picture, it has been renamed G

With a quality piece of meat, I've sworn off any marinade or sauces. For me, the only thing that goes on a good steak is salt and pepper prior to baking/grilling, and fresh sauteed mushrooms. But, that's just my preference recently. I have lots of steak sauces I've not used in a couple of years now. I should probably toss them.

It's fail-proof, consistently cooks to the right level (I go for 122-125F internal temp). Glad you enjoyed it! BTW, how thick was your steak? I always have mine cut to 3cm at least, because it's difficult to get the thermometer centered in a narrower cut.

Ah, strap vs bar...yes, good point. I wonder if there was a driver in the towed taxi so that the towing car could slow down? Maybe he was going 100kph because he couldn't slow without getting rear-ended
-
I am sort of confused by the OP, not being someone who has towed a car, is 2 meters too short or too long for the cargo strap? Is 100 kph too fast? In other words....And....?
-
Yeah, sorry about that. Fixed in OP now.

Yeah, you're right. The TOPS I was thinking of was on 2nd Road at Pattaya Klang. BTW, the TOPS in Tuk.Com is remodelling and relocating to the first floor. While in the basement now, they seem to seriously have upgraded their inventory to include more western items. I never shopped at TOPS before, so I don't really know if they just upgraded their display setup (it looks really inviting) or if they actually are striving to upgrade their inventory. There might be a GNC area in that store anyway.
-
That link, with a few extra keystrokes on the "Find International Locations" and selecting "Thailand", will yield 2 locations, one of which is closed (Tops, Beach Road). So, the remaining location is the new "Harbor Mall" on Pattaya Klang. Apparently, they have a GNC store there.

True that Ewan, the head chef, has moved on. As to where he is going or what his plans are, I have no information.

Zen Japanese Restaurant at Central Festival
MM replied to Evil Penevil's topic in Restaurants and food
I haven't tried the full on meal at Zen, but when I was shopping, I did stop for a small snack where they advertised a pork cutlet meal for less than 300 baht. For sushi and sashimi etc, I primarily go to Tsunami. -
For some strange reason, known only to the developers of the redirect malware, they only redirect when the source of the arrival is from one of the search engines, and even then, they only do it once every 10 hours or more. Like you, I always use a bookmark, so it never happens to me unless I am just trying to check if IT'S BAAAAACK again. Unfortunately, it does (did?) primarily affect those who are searching for information on Pattaya and end up trying to link to this forum. Not a good first impression .

To make that last post clearer in case the analogy was unclear, let me rephrase: I believe the problem has been rectified, or at least reduced to insignificance. Please do your best to check if it reoccurs. How to check: 1) Do a GOOGLE search for "Pattayatalk" 2) Click on an entry that links to Pattayatalk Forums (should be on the first page) 3) If you get a redirect to URL4SHORT.INFO, report it PLEASE This will only redirect the first time you do this...after that, it should not happen again for at least 10 hours ----UNLESS you delete the cookie for www.pattayatalk.com whi

I started using this small family run business back in early March when I found a flyer on my car with their menu. They deliver to most places west of Sukhimvit, from Naklua Pattaya Klang south to Jomtien...east Pattaya might be in the cards later. They have just expanded their menu (see their website at http://pattayameals.com/ in the past days, so now they have gone from 16 to 30 items, all cooked when you order and delivered rapidly. Today I had the pan seared white fish with mashed potatoes and asparagus for 165 baht. I ordered via Facebook message to their Facebook user "Pattaya Mea
