I know of several Italian owned restaurants that serve pizza. I don't know if their being Italian has anything to do with the quality of their pizza, but they are Don Joe, Ciao's (Walking St), Boulevard (Soi Diamond), Planet Food (2nd Road). In every case, the pizza is being made by a Thai chef, however. I've never found a really good pizza here yet. But, I am still looking.

I went there and it looks like the Bella Villa web site. What virus are you getting when you go there and how is it being detected?

The creation of the Bars/Gogos/Businesses forum opens the board to posts from board members who are also bar owners to tout their businesses. Prior pattayatalk policy has been that if you were a well known poster already, contributed to topics as an individual with advice, your posting about your business was accepted. With the arrival of new posters with businesses who have not had a chance to get into the swing of things with advisory posts, we have had an increase in posts that are seen by the membership to be more advertising related than board information related. In order to accomodate both the business owners and the board membership, I have created this new section. Please use it and consider that posting about your business on this board will be well received if you can provide an incentive or benefit to the board members of some sort.

Yes, that's my point. They have totally screwed it up and think it's better.

After an "upgrade" to their system in early November, the internet facilities of the LK Metropole have taken a nose dive. Prior to the upgrade from a 2M outside pipe to a 5M outside pipe, I was getting 200KB download speeds (1.6Mbps), but since the upgrade, the best I have been able to get is around 40KB (320kbps). In addition, they have a stupid security feature on the DSL interface that requires you to log in each time the connection goes down. And they have removed wifi support for the rooms. It's only supported in the lobby. And, they have blocked many ports so that downloading torrents and news groups does not work. I post this just to retract my earlier recommendation on their internet capabilities.

This forum section should be used for Pattaya Business Owners (bars, gogos, shops, whatever) and patrons to post information about events and special offerings at their businesses, especially if they benefit board members. As this forum is funded by the FLB bar, and this is generally not an advertising venue for other bars, it would be especially appropriate if your input to this section contained a special offering for pattayatalk board members. Let's keep the marketing subtle and reasonable.

I paid a 1 month deposit on a long stay (6 month) contract. I haven't left after a year and a half, but I assume the money is still on account (i.e., I don't pay for the last month).

Ummm. ANA. The one time I flew with them, they had some seriously cute flight attendants and great service. I'm sure I'd prefer them over UAL.

When ticket prices are peak season rates, if you have frequent flyer miles, it would be a good time to use them.
