  1. I used to book a taxi from Mr. T, but after a missed/absent driver (or two), and al the other times finally finding the driver and having to shlepp my luggage to the parking garage, I find it's much easier, as InternationalTraveler says, to just go to the taxi stand and hire a ride there. Unlike MGDN, I have no problem guiding the driver to my destination, so it's not an issue at all. I do hire a driver to go to Swampy, but now just take any old taxi on arrival to go home.
  2. No virus I know of can activate by opening an email. You have to click on a link as js007 said to get somewhere that might transmit the virus.
  3. Thank god it's over now.

  4. Big Andy supposedly is coming back to town as the new owner. Hmm. http://www.stickmanbangkok.com/StickmanWeeklyColumn2015/Gogo-Bar-Epileptic-Fit.htm
  5. Reading that link, at the bottom it says which sounds to me like he has postponed his departure.
  6. Stickman is still in Thailand, isn't he?
  7. Slimy little cunt trying to smear another slimy cunt.
  8. Oh, please don't show it to your students! They'll give up in frustration at the irregularity and idiosyncratic features of the language.
  9. Invision has gotten back to me and I have made the appropriate (I hope) changes, so youtube videos should be embedding okay now. Let me know if any of you still have problems. Thanks!
  10. Article today in The Nation about the glut of properties on the condo market in Chonburi province and particularly Pattaya. http://www.nationmultimedia.com/business/Half-of-condo-units-in-Chon-Buri-launched-in-early-30258109.html?utm_content=buffer815e1&utm_medium=social&utm_source=plus.google.com&utm_campaign=buffer
  11. Maybe you should get TAPATALK for your mobile. It makes things a lot easier.
  12. Chippen, it seems like you're having a problem posting in replies where you QUOTE the poster.
  13. There's been an ongoing problem with embedding youtube videos for a few weeks now. Invision says youtube made some change that required a manual change (by admin) to the board setup. Yours truly followed the instructions faithfully, but sadly, incorrectly, and now it appears the problem is even worse. As I understand it, when Invision gets back to me with the help I have asked for at digging us out of this mess, any videos that now do not embed, or do not play correctly, will start to work again. That's my hope anyway. So, in the meantime, to make sure you get it right when yo
  14. You can add 3G/GPRS internet for 30 days to your phone so you can leave mobile data on all the time if you want. I'm a pretty heavy 3G user, and never go above 2G when I am away from WIFI...of course, I don't do torrent downloads and such. If you exceed your limit of 1GB or 2GB with the highlighted packages, you get 384kb GPRS for the remainder of the month anyway. Enabling the package you choose is as simple as entering the code on the right of the line and hitting SEND. Be sure to have enough baht (plus 7% VAT) on your phone when you do that. Yes, it autorenews, but you can
  15. I've been told this guy, Kevin, is very good...kevin@professionalpropertypattaya.com I've not bought a property or used a realtor myself, but a friend has and recommends this fellow.

  18. 5 more days of Songkran to go! I'm getting stir crazy.

  19. It's sausage gravy. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sausage_gravy Much better than mushy peas
  20. Oh, "grenade"...duh. Well done, monkeyman.
  21. Okay, I'll admit it. I still don't get it!
  22. BTW, yesterday I finally got up in time to have breakfast at Pastrami on Rye (POR). I had their breakfast burrito which consists of "Our own fajita style seasoned ground beef, onions, green peppers, tomatoes, eggs and cheese. Topped with our homemade sausage gravy for a unique rich flavor." I enjoyed it very much, but next time I order it, I'm going to ask them to add a bit more salt and pepper to the mix. It's hard to salt the inside of a burrito!
