  1. Okay, I see the confusing part. I was referring to the minimum number of bills that I've seen an ATM capable of delivering "as its maximum". That was 20 bills.
  2. No, minimum, is the correct term for what I meant. 20 bills is the least I've seen dispensed, and I've seen 25, and heard about machines that dispense 30. I have no idea what the maximum is.
  3. That's all dependent on your bank limits, of course.I have a USA bank account that's still at $300 daily withdrawal limit..if I were to use my ATM from that bank, I could only get 9000 or so, depending on the exchange rate. Obviously, I never use it. Another Thai bank account has a 200k daily limit, so I can feed my card 10 times, withdrawing 20K baht each time. It's all variable and subject to how your accounts are set up. As to the OP, go to an ATM and enter 20K, and if it says it's too much, try another.
  4. Every ATM I've used dispensed 20 bills minimum, and Bangkok Bank will do 25. I think rb might be limited by his USA limit.
  5. 300 baht for immigration for the residency certificate that is given with your house papers..what a scam it is.
  6. North side of Mike's Shopping has many artist shops. Ask around to see which ones do what you need.
  7. Do you have a link to that sale post? I might be interested in it.
  8. Hey! It has a microwave and adv oven. It must be western style.
  9. Who bothers to repair TVs anymore? Go buy a new one.
  10. Rhino..I had planned later this week to drive from Luang Prabang to Chiang Rai, and then down to Chiang Mai. How bad is the smoke in the area now? Is it worth the effort to do that trek, or would I be better off waiting till the burning stops?
  11. After the last 3 posts, I'm coming around to the idea that they're onto a good thing with the cover charge.
  12. Piss take indeed..unless no one else can come thru when the event arrives. Thanks to the internet, nobody can put a lid on PPV anymore.
  13. It was a very well-written and accurate response too.
  14. Isn't that "hole in the wall" place generally frequented by farang males and farang/Thai couples, but rarely by solely Thai customers?
  15. Good plan! That's what I do..make a major shopping trip to the food market, provision the house for ten days, and go out as little as possible. Time to catch up on movies.
  16. No problem providing contact info for a good worker!
  17. We drove from Pattaya Tai on Sukhimvit to highway 7 turnoff today and there was no congestion at 3 pm.
  18. Does anyone believe this boondoggle will improve traffic, and will it improve it enough to justify the years of inconvenience? When first proposed, I thought it was just a tunnel to cross Sukhimvit. What is it supposed to do?
  19. I do wish they would fix the number displays so you can tell where you are in the queue. I was in there a week ago, and those of us apparently waiting at the same desk had to show each other our numbers to figure out who was next and order ourselves manually.
  20. That is true, but they also have good meals that might go above the 99 baht threshold that are excellent at that time of day.
  21. IRovers will definitely be carrying the fight (according to the owner). They have decent food too!
