You make an excellent point. Anyone on this board who can't be bothered to top up their phone themselves, and instead holds up a queue at a 7-11 should really think twice about their role in life. From a mobile

Bang Saray Beach - a great place for a day of eating and relaxing
MM replied to MM's topic in Restaurants and food
The bill today was 2100 baht for 9 people. We did bring 2kg of shrimp and crab cooked at home though. The 5000+ bill was a real splurge, but yes, it's not cheap like your food carts. From a mobile -
About 17km south of Pattaya is a great place to eat and enjoy a day at the beach. It's called Bang Saray Beach. There are no wandering vendors, no jet skis, plenty of parking, nice table setups, great seafood cooked to order, natural palm tree shade rather than umbrellas. It's just a wonderfully relaxing and enjoyable place to have a good meal with friends at a reasonable cost. This post has pictures taken over several visits there this year. Some visits there were very few people at the beach, and some are quite crowded, but always a good time. The linked map shows the area where the public beach is located... https://goo.gl/maps/vogb0

Not really. The 30 day extension to the 30 day stamp is standard now. -

The deadline postponement was from 2006. Am I missing some joke here? -

Jomtien Immigration Office changed !

Great sight picture that will prepare the readers for a huge change inside the building. It's bad enough when I go there, I always have a stricken look and a moment of confusion under the old system. At least, this will minimize my shock when I'm there...hopefully this week sometime. -
Thread locked...I think the reverse osmosis topic has been covered sufficiently.

Mandatory registration of SIM cards in Thailand
MM replied to DrPat's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
When the registration is enforced by cutting off service for non-registered SIMs, those would likely need to be registered too. Butch, you might need your passport info, and possibly some address. From a mobile -
Thank you! That's a very succinct and complete list of what I have been looking for myself. I plan to do a road trip to Malaysia in the near future, and have had a dickens of a time finding the appropriate information about how to get this "car passport". With this in hand, I can breeze through it easily. Sorry I could only give you 1 green!

The kickass.so and kat.ph domains got taken down. You're absolutely correct. From a mobile

Did you rent a car or have your own? If it was your own, what documentation did you need to cross into Laos?

Mandatory registration of SIM cards in Thailand

Good advice overall, but let's not confuse people about the prepaid names used by the mobile operators. -
As I understand the dancewatcher site, this studio is 2200/night during Nov-May, and has no monthly rate or discount beyond that, so it works out to an eye-popping 66,000 baht a month! Add 6k for "deluxe" maid service where you get maid service 5 times a week, rather than once a week for 4K, and you're looking at a cool 72,000 baht/month. Or, OP, did I misinterpret something here?

RG is not commission based. They have been long-standing supporters of the FLB customers by advertising revenue.- 24 replies

Please help defray the forum costs by booking with us
MM replied to MM's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
It's actually a renamed section that used to be the Hotel Reviews that no one has updated since 2012. If you want to book RG, it's available almost always through the banner ad at the top of each page. There is one there for Agoda as well, but it shows up rather infrequently. What's your issue here? Not sure I really get your question.- 24 replies

Please help defray the forum costs by booking with us
MM replied to MM's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
I may not have been clear on my request. I said "please make hotel bookings with Residence Garden or through the AGODA HOTEL BOOKING link"...that "or" is really important. Book directly with RG OR use Agoda for anywhere else. In other words, please don't book RG via Agoda. RG gets less money for the booking and they are our only advertiser, and I'd like to keep them happy. You also save 29 baht!!!!- 24 replies

Haven't been for a while! The last trip was only drop off/return, back after one day of rest.

In order to help defray the cost of the forum, since this board is independent of any bar or business, please make hotel bookings with Residence Garden or through the AGODA HOTEL BOOKING link or the similarly named subforum in the open section.
