Looks like an exciting journey getting there and a picturesque village when you arrive. Clearly it's on the backpacker trail.

I've always been leery of having things shipped to me from out of country. Are you having it shipped to Thailand or your country? If Thailand, can you let us know when it arrives (how long the shipment took that is)?

I don't how that's handled. I keep my withdrawals at non-Kasikorn ATMs at less than 4 a month, and I'm never charged a fee within Chonburi..at least, I've never noticed. Indeed and quoting from that article, this is how well the children of Kamnan Poh have done... Considering that the father is "in jail" (well, in hospital) for a murder of a rival gang head, I'd say they managed to become "legitimate" amazingly fast. Oh yeah...there it is..and it's not my current address. It's in very small type, but that is definitely my old address.

LOL and yet they insist on a residency certificate when you get the license..even though your address is not on the license, and if you move, you don't need to inform them. I can't see the logic in that.

I think KBank allows you 4 free ATM withdrawals a month on other ATMs (in your region). I don't think they would ever charge 180 baht in Thailand, only the out of region charge, about 20 baht as you say.

I've run into an ATM (Songkran?) in a busy area around Marine Plaza where the maximum withdrawal was 2000 baht. Apparently it was out of 1000 and 500 baht notes and wanted to give me 20 one hundred baht notes. Thanks, but no thanks, ATM.

They probably get drunk and chase men when they're off duty...

I omitted mentioning that the pictures were from Facebook..since I found so many aren't using it, I thought it would be informative to post some content from there. I'd hate for anyone's privacy to be invaded just to look at local rain pictures, especially since this site is so secure from government and commercial intrusion.

Rains came into Pattaya in a big way this afternoon, flooding eastern Pattaya streets and hopefully adding to the reservoirs. BBQ day plans scuttled though, but that can wait.

I've not been a fan of their pizzas, though many are. I do like the sandwiches, no matter what they look like. In fact, I believe I will order a Philly cheese steak right now.
