Easy to sit back and say "Go for it" so I will. As I understand it,until you sell your house you will have $1500 a month to live on. You don`t smoke or drink and want to go out twice a week, know yourself to be happy staying in a place at 6K baht a month as you have done so previously. Happy with just 1 girl also,if the same one will stay with you again or if not you`ll find another. Then when eventually your house sells I assume you`ll have a fair bit extra coming in? Quality health/accident insurance would be vital in addition of course as well as some back-up money as so

The air-con bar area is 120baht per bottle of beer,Tiger or Heineken. Plus 7% VAT. Visited there a while back. Don`t know about the Ice Room, don`t like the cold

soi 6. Agree with previous posters, nice bar for a drink, not tried the food there.

Ice cold, just above the point it would freeze. Yes it makes me drink more. Warm beer will make me check bin and walk out. Basic stuff but important.

Anyone know the reason for changing back to 747s? It`s not all that long since they introduced the 777 for that route(year or 2?)

I believe to have an edit button it is required to be a member of the full forum as opposed to merely registered on the "Open to Everyone Forum" An email to either MM or Pattaya Pete would likely sort out full membership. Some info on that in the "Help" section, blue tab near top of page.

Hi raptormansam IMO it is in a nice setting/location. Short stroll to Walking Street. I would guess availability should be OK in July, unless packed out with tour groups. I think rates are roughly 3500baht per night((£52) maybe upwards from that. However depending on what you want out of your Pattaya trip, but in terms of companions back to hotel there may be better options available for you. Just a suggestion for you but if you send off an email to admin here requesting membership of the main forum there will be more info for you. All the Best.

I have used them before without problem. However you were dealt with poorly, their staff made a mistake, likely innocent IMO. You paid for a service i.e. the provision of flight tickets, should have been(and possibly legally was) a "done deal". They backed out of that deal after you paid. Depending on how far you want to push it,assuming you paid by credit card I personally would be in touch with the CC company, could be interesting to see how you stand. Sorry you got messed about. P.S. Thanks to Regyai for the tip re. Chai.

Hi Gus Same as I was going to suggest but you beat me to it answering your own post I`ve met a few people in Pattaya, varying ages that just use their home country as a place to make enough money to then enjoy themselves in Pattaya/Thailand. If as you are already thinking about it, could compromise on spending some time in the UK working then do the winter months in Pattaya, you should at least be able to protect your capital,or preferably increase it(as I agree with the "money crunching" posts already made that your "permanent move" budget would be tight/eroded by inflation.) Well worth s

New Years Eve Party at Drunks & Dare-A-Licks
EnglishPaul replied to chris_heaton's topic in Bars/Gogos/Business Owners' Forum
Sounds like you tried your best to make it a good night and your girls let you down somewhat, although I woudn`t have minded being the 1 guy being attended to by the 3 girls It happens,I think you are being rather hard on yourself and although I haven`t visited your place it sounds good, will make the effort to visit sometime. -

This year and last year I found and booked cheap flights with EVA(just under and just over £400) booking in January for a February trip and March trip. Might not always be the case but worth keeping a close look at the prices in January for forward booking.

Good Luck Try Trailfinders Tel. 020 7938 3939. West East Travel, sorry haven`t got tel.no. www.worldflights.com www.dialaflight.com www.travelsupermarket.co.uk I don`t think you`ll get anything at your price but don`t blame you for wanting to get away from U.K.

I`m sure your right. Reading the article it declares that the transport sector accounts for 30% of carbon emissions, with aviation accounting for a fifth of that.So if my maths is right, aviation only accounts for 6% which probably includes commercial cargo, not just passengers. Not really going to make a lot of difference to carbon emissions, particularly when the likes of China don`t seem too troubled about reducing pollution. Government here keeps raising taxes but there seems to be no real benefit to the country.

First time in Thailand/Pattaya
EnglishPaul replied to Nakaleen's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Nakaleen Hi Re. transport to pattaya for your first visit my advice would be to use a taxi rather than bus, unless you really are on a tight budget. There are at least a couple of decent services on one of the forum sections here,Ride Sharing,Arranging transport. Your Bangkok hotel would also be able to arrange your transport. Another idea for you would be to apply(email) to become a member of the full forum here as you will find a lot more info to help you. All the Best. -
PT I have never stayed at the new Day-Nite but a friend of mine did,it is the one at location described by Emil. My friend has been to Pattaya many times and did not feel comfortable or safe in this hotel in fact leaving some valuables with me for safe-keeping. Above only 1 person`s view but I would rather post it than keep quiet. Up to You.
