Meeting Point still have live music, for some strange reason they stopped playing on Saturday nights for a while but have it back again as of a couple of weeks ago. I go in sometimes. The bar opposite Bodega has live music also, didn`t rate it, maybe just me although as it was devoid of customers maybe not.

Just in case you are unaware, the normal turnaround time for a Thai Tourist visa in PP is 4 working days, as opposed to next day turnaround in most other neighbouring countries. Whether there is a way of speeding it up, don`t know, not so according to the agent I used in PP.

Hi Spud I`ve flown Cathay a fair few times and been happy with them but have never flown with Etihad so can`t compare the two. I know what you mean about the extra flight time, when stopped in Hong Kong I`ve generally just gone to grab something to eat quickly, maybe catch up on emails etc and the time actually at the airport went by pretty quick and at least when you touch down at HK, you know you are " nearly there".

Hello I have some doubt as to whether it would be suitable but Leos Blues Bar on soi 18 ( Wong Amat) naklua have jam nights Fridays and Saturdays. They state everyone welcome. Customers there appreciate good music. of varying types. I`d at least make a point of going there if you happen to play.

Good places for pizza include La Grotta, an Italian restaurant on soi 33 naklua( about a 5 minute walk from the Dolphin roundabout, soi 33 will be on your right.) Air-con inside or open air outside. I thought it beat Pizza Big which is slightly further up the main naklua road. Casa Nostra, just off soi 7 pattaya, in the cut throught that leads to pattaya klang. Valentinos soi 4 pattaya klang, very near FoodLand supermarket. All the pizzas were thin crust and thought Valentinos was the best of those I`ve mentioned.

Hi In Jomtien yes? I viewed a unit there last month, studio room. To me it showed some signs of "wear" The building overall seemed OK, 2 or 3 lifts(elevators) for the building,has security at entrance and parking available. Short walk to the beach. Important note: the units have not all got the same owner so I would say you really need to view your potential unit first, some obviously could be better than others. There was at the time a larger 1 bedroom unit available for rent.

Hi No specific model recommendations but both Tesco Lotus(on pattaya nua, about 10 mins walk from Dolphin roundabout on 2nd road) and BigC(the supermarket, phones on upper floor) on 2nd road usually have some cheap models below 1000 baht. Tesco had some for just 600 baht or so just a few days ago.

Hi There is a firework display at Bali Hai pier every night, starting approx 8.30pm so could be that one. I think they started the displays on the 25th, running through to the 31st. There`s obviously other ones as well. You could walk up to Bali Hai pier(turn right out of FLB, keep going and it`s about 5 or 10 mins walk, depending on distractions along the way.) PBG should also be a good place to view from. Enjoy!

Hi Carrefour on pattaya klang do deliveries, minimum spend for free delivery is 1000 baht, easy enough to spend that. I`ve found their service good. Just not sure if they go out to Jomtien, phone number for them if of any use is 038 360444.

I thought the food and service was excellent on my visits there. Busy place, obviously has a good following.
