Some good street restaurants on 2nd Rd/Soi 3 and several outside Family Mart 300 m north on 2nd Rd (right side).

Skallagrim, why can't you fly with Cathay?

I hold TGs gold card since 5 years and agree with you. Economy class is hopeless, premium economy before was OK but starts to be lower and lower, even the biz isn't worth to mention anymore. Combined with old airplanes I think about changing airline to Singapore Airlines. Still there're many satisfied customers AIRLINE OF THE YEAR 2006 Rank Airline 2005 1 British Airways 5th 2 Qantas Airways 2nd 3 Cathay Pacific 1st 4 Thai Airways 7th 5 Emirates 3rd 6 Qatar Airways 8th 7 Singapore Airlines 4th 8 A N A 10th

A few week ago in Pattaya I heard about a bus line from Jomtien to the new airport.

Buy or Sell on ebay from Australia, check this out

I can see it here in Sweden. Very new, 1 ad for a car, 1 for skirts and 8 for HR. -
Generel information Link There will be a thai nightlife scene with karaokes and barber shops, maybe some discos and nightclubs. Last year I followed a girl to a small village half way betseen Korat and Buriram. I refuse to stay in her house as there was no aircon and she found a room for us in a motel 8 km away. Not so bad rooms, beside was a nightclub with 5 girls, a restaurant and a petrol station. We had dinner and found out that the motel actually was a ST hotel for the local thais, the girls also lived in some of the bungalows.

I guess that they wil not check if you arrive by airplane, just for those guys doing visa runs over the land borders. This is just my guess and not supported by any facts.

I don't know what's the connection between pubs and mexican food? Jameson's has a good restaurant.

You can have breakfast at the 2 Kiss restaurants (Dolphin and opposite Mike's Shopping Mall both on 2nd Rd) 24/7. If you're up early I recommend Greg's Kitchen also on 2nd Rd.

A long time La Piola (beside Tiffany) was one of the best italian restaurants in Pattaya even if it's always been rather expensive. This year the quality seems to be lower and lower and if I not hear somebody recommend it again the last visit there was the last visit.

Festival Centre or more popular name "BigC" (but there's one more BigC now - in south Pattaya - so a little bit unclear). Sure it was a burner a not electrical - else sounds like MK. There's one more thai restaurant where rarely farangs eat, I don't even know if it has a name, to the left of Fuji if you're looking out on 2nd Rd. Opposite Sabai Inn?? Maybe Salathai Restaurant which is an other member of the Sabai Group and where you eat breakfast if you have that included in your room price in Sabai Lodge.

US government wants the dollar lower to make import more expensive and earn more money on export.

Don't worry there're beerbars open 24/7, soft lights and no music but open!

You can just leave it and report it as lost... I think there're 2 left luggage rooms, one on level 2 Arrivals and one on level 4 Departures. Fee 100 baht for each max 24 hours. If you're going up north with Thai Airways your Check-In is Level 4, Entrance 2, Row C

Are you sure the pub still exists, or if it does if they still have the guesthouse? I think it's in the same house as a new business will start in december and it has 12 rooms. You can read more about that business after you're let inside.

Just a remark, you're late, the first days in january are often fully-booked already in more popular hotels, many guests staying over X-mas and NE are booking for the same period "next" year before leaving.

That review was not too positive even if the guy wanted to come back. However it was from febr 2006 so maybe now the renovation is over and the worn-out carpet changed.

EVA Security Restrictions for European flights
elef replied to Braveheart's topic in Airline Discussion
It looks like the new EU regulation re hand luggage, I've just seen a newspaper article (on internet) so far but this is the new rules for travels iniside EU. And inspired by the american rules I think. -
You can enter Sabai Lodge from Soi 1 instead so no problem to stay there.

Taxi to Pattaya from Sukhumvit Road (BKK)
elef replied to Nakaleen's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
From airport I use a limo from hotel - 1300 from Don Muang + toll roed + parking, of that 300 is for hotel. From Pratunam a taxi on the meter is a little over 900 baht + tollroads around 120 Tollroads from old airport was 145 baht, from new airport it's 60 baht I think... -

TGF had a restaurant before and wants everything fresh. She also must drive our son to his international school, but now our maid is driving in Pattaya too (before she didn't dare cross Sukhumvit).

1. No problem 2. It's possible but you must book from the taxi maffia the day before It's better/safer for the return trip at least to use a limo service either from your hotel or a limo service you can find in the forum under - Mr Toom for example.
