Me too. Although my first trip was Jan 2005 :) What a trip that was. I might have cried on the plane ride home :)

Staying at the Devera Hotel as the jaccuzzi suite was booked at walkabout. I plan on trying one more time at walkabout in hopes they have a cancelation. Devera looks nice, as does the location. Hope it lives up to it. 19 days and counting... Starting to get that glow reserved for pregnant women, jackolanterns, and guys headed to Thailand in February.

What if your date doesn't like your music. She is unlikely to tell you but it could affect her performance. Might even make her leave earlier than planned. I find that BBC News on the telly makes them squirt. I let them pick their own music, to a point anyway. It's all about compromise. I lay off the Dylan if they don't put on he soap operas. World News is still better than the Thai soap operas. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I just had to Google Eddie to see what actually became of him. Seems Eddie has done pretty well for himself over the last couple of decades. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I bring a Bluetooth speaker thingie for tunes while humping in my room. The selection of music on the hotel TVs may be limited or nonexistent. I also like to listen to tunes while I run so an iphone is a necessity. I love music.

Thanks again. I should be good to go. Looking forward to having a limited quantity of a mildly alcoholic beverage with you. :)

Cool. Thanks!

I'm becoming a pandora/spotify/streaming music junky. I rarely listen to my own music anymore. I even took the music off my iPad, but so far still have it in my iPhone Is there a good streaming music service available in Thailand. I'm listening to Pandora at home right now and it's on such a run of great songs... Five weeks coming up in Asia and I may start to go throgh withdrawals. Any suggestions? I won't have a laptop, just an iPad and an iPhone.

Mmmmm making me hungry.

i have tried generic and real Viagra and Cialis. To be honest, if you don't really need the help (not knocking anyone who does), just go with generic. I don't think it has the same "kick" but so what if you are just looking for a little extra bounce in your step. Viagra was too strong, giving me red face an erection that kept returning when I just wanted to sleep and it felt like I had a rapid heart beat, etc. Cialis was OK but I got a painful back ache after a couple of days.

Good to know, thanks!

Four years ago there was a small place on South Pattaya road. Walking from the beach it is/was on your left before the intersection if Third road.

Another option not mentioned... not sure if it's your cup of tea and certainly not mine, but; Having been to a few "boy" gogo bars with my g/f and Thai girls in tow many of the guys on stage make it clear that they were willing to do both/all three/four of us. Having been on two trips with a falang g/f, finding a good girl on girl experience for your girl might be harder than you imagine. You will find girls willing to go, but often my girl was less than impressed. Then there were those nights I passed out and they were still going strong. Anyway, you will have fun. I'd consi

Headed Thailand at the end of February and staying for about five weeks. wiring most of my budget to my bank account in Thailand. Any educated guesses as to what the baht will do over the next 6-7 weeks?

Grand Business Inn was a great place to stay 3-4 years ago. Very clean, affordable and g/friendly. Always had a blast.

Lots of decent hotels in the 1500 baht range. I haven't been in four years but airport transport is usually a reasonable option via most hotels. Lamai Wanta was very nice and about 1500 back then.

We need to get to Pattaya from Angeles PI. What would be our best choice of airlines and airports? Thanks.

Evil, you are correct. I called them and they assured me I was gonna have a suite. :) Star alliance seems to have done a bang up job of improving their awards booking since the last time I was able to book a "free" ticket. They even let me change my flight to a multi stop so I could fly into Manila from Seoul.
-
I hope you are correct. If I knew I was gonna fly business class I would have tried for a ticket to HKG and done a stopover. I'm gonna give Asiana a call now. Hold me, I'm scared.
-
Evil, I think you got lucky. I know I didn't. Asiana is using the Boing 777-300 for it's JFK to ICN flights. I used miles for first class and now the plane doesn't even have a first class cabin... WTF? True odds of me getting any sort of retribution?

The biggest problem my Korean-American friend had was being treated like an Asian (S. Korean/Japanese/Chinese) tourist. Some very inflated asking prices, being asked to pay for certain things up front, etc. All while I was sitting next to him and getting different treatment. Sometimes it got sorted out easily, other times we ended up just moving on. Showing a copy of his US passport at bars had mixed results. He also meet some other Koreans on a package tour and we were astounded at the inflated prices they were paying for everything. We adopted them a couple of nights and had good fu

Thanks Evil. I'm looking forward to the flight to ICN almost as much as I'm looking forward to the rest of the trip. How will I ever go back to cattle class?

I was lucky enough (I hope) to get an awards first class flight on Asiana, JFK - ICN. Does anyone know for sure if they are flying the 777 200er v5 with the first class suites? I was really looking forward to that but I have read some reports that after the crash they shuffled aircraft around and downgraded the aircraft in use to 777 200er v4. Sadly it is only outbound, my return ticket is ANA plain-jane old school business class seats lol Also, any first hand reviews would be interesting.

I think the RG is going to be your most economical choice for suites. The food is also fairly good and they handle special requests as good or better than many. I think the two bedroom suits are all on the top floor. The living area of all the suites is big enough for several people to hang out and opens up onto balcony with sliders making the room even larger if you need it :) The service was so good I wrote the owner a letter to compliment the staff. I have stayed there six times for at least two weeks a stretch. I must say that it's been 3+ years since I've been there so... I wil
