  1. Limo Pattaya has been good to me over the years. Thelimopattaya.com Communication is very good and they have always gotten me to/from the airport on time.
  2. I would have expected at least a hand job on the way.
  3. I see. I don't think the JFK - HKG route ever took me over Russia or the polar route. I did fly Thai Air direct a couple of times from JFK to BKK (direct) on the polar route. I got paired up in Bangkok with a Thai air traffic controller who told me it was very dangerous and he would never think of flying that way.
  4. Yes, Red Sox home games against the Yankees - Fenway airspace is a no fly zone.
  5. FYI, Cathay is now flying direct Boston to Hong Kong! The prices are a bit higher than NYC but seems like it might be worth the extra $$ if you are that much closer to Logan. Getting to JFK is always a hassle. Why no one else flies direct to Hong Kong from Boston with such a large population of Southern Chinese and S.E. Asians always seemed to defy logic. *Of course it does not start until May 3 2015, two month after my next scheduled trip
  6. That's the best news I've heard all week. I find it impossible to believe that they fell for the the idea that Pattaya is some sort of tropical paradise for as long as they did. Don't get me wrong, I love it there, but if I wasn't going for the women I could find so many other places to holiday. I don't even like walking on the beach barefoot in Pattaya, never mind swim in that shit. C'est la vie
  7. Good replies so far but I'm wondering if you are you referring to the red chillies in the clear vinegar that is somewhat sweet? There are usually four containers on a tray. Green chillies in fish sauce Sugar Dry, ground red chillies Pickled chilies?
  8. +1 google documents. Google drive is another excellent product. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Fair enough, lol. I'm just saying that technically speaking, it is pretty easy to store the kit and do the deed. As you say, needs must...beat the heck out making the choice of burning alive or jumping to your death. Fuck...
  10. Not to hijack the thread, but since I would never live in a high rise without an exit plan...I'm paranoid of fire. Maybe it's left over from watching The Towering Inferno when I was a kid. Jacko, Modern sailing/climbing cord is very small in diameter, light weight and low stretch. Google Dyneema rope, 3/8 dia has a breaking strength of 18,000+ lbs. More than enough for you and a couple of LBFMs :) 200 ft of 3/8 inch cord and some simple repelling gear would easily lay coiled in a laundry basket that could slide under the bed.
  11. My ex flew air china a couple of times. She was not impressed but as you said, the price was right. If I recall correctly her gripes were with food and cabin service. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. BeerBelly is correct, I was incorrect, it's a nano sim. Don't know what I was thinking.
  13. I think most modern smart phones use the micro sim now. TukCom will set you up cheap enough. Don't forget to make sure all your numbers are on your phone, or be sure the person who sells you the new sim clones the info from your old sim.
  14. I went there in March. Very nice place and a beautiful spot. God clean fun :) Had dinner at an outdoor restaurant very close by, on the shore. Excellent food, highly recommend it.
  15. 41N and still no leaves. Grass is a bit green but not even a bud on the trees. Freezing rain this morning, Ice on my deck still at noon. My boat is hight and dry for at least 2-3 more weeks. Thanks for the pics. Blighty can certainly be lovely.
  16. Teesside, damn, I thought there was another airport around there. I look for the Nigerian slappers. Tall and black as a moonless night. :) Seemed to be a lot about last time I was in Newcastle.
  17. Thanks boys. Very helpful. Searching as a multi stop is giving me all sorts of itineraries. In 2007 I vowed never to fly BA again but it seems they might be my best alternative from NY/Boston - England - Bangkok - NY And yes I'll be a Bonnie lad in the Newcastle clubs :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Another fine installment. :)
  19. What might, generally, be the least expensive airport in England to fly to BKK. My next trip will include a stopover in Stockton-On-Tees from the USA to BKK. Just trying to figure out the most economical way to work it out. Thanks
  20. Glad to hear that. I won't be back I town for a while but when I am I'll be sure to give Spankys another try! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I'll add that the price point is very attractive to older, retired people who have grown up on that style of coffee. They can't get passed paying $2-&5 for a cup. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
