  1. Crossing the while line is a 1000 baht fine. Had the cops at the Suk Huay Yai intersection try it on with me. I asked him about the two salaengs that were past what was an imaginary white line and then started taking pictures. Thankfully he told me to have a nice day which i did as i was on my way to Ban Chang
  2. There is a huge increase in Indians in Pattaya, has been happening for a while now. My missus works at an indian hotel and with a couple hundred rooms they are full every night. A few nights ago i took a cut from 3rd rd to soi Buahkhao via soi PP Massage, the only one in that area with out speed bumps. There were 3 busus full unloading into PP Massage and another 50 or so walking in the middle of the street looking around. Indians just may be the next Chonese/Russian invasion, get your papadoms while they are hot boys!
  3. I haven't been there for years but i used to visit about every 3 months or so. Was always very good but i have heard it went downhill a bit. I have got on to eating at other places but i may go back and see for myself
  4. Last time i had to go back to Los Angeles i had a look on Skyscanner and found some great deals on China Eastern Airlines. After reading some mixed reviews i decided to see if it was worth saving a couple of hundrded bucks or not. Here is the Bkk Lax return review. My first leg was Bkk to Nkg (Nanjing). The flight was at 03:30. Narrow body jet 3+3 seating. Seats and leg room were not too bad. They did give a meal - if you could call it that - but then again it was pretty late. The meal more resembled what you would get on an Utapao - Samui flight on Bangkok Airways. No beer or wine available.
  5. Nice review Evil. Price definitely seems right, will have to give this place a go
  6. Yes Preecha is i think the best one on the little strip. For the haul down there, food and scenery you're probably better off going down to the absolute end of Jomtien Beach
  7. Friendship and Macro also both have them. Two kinds, Thai grown and imported, they are expensive though. If you get them by the case they are still around 80+baht each
  8. Baan Ampuh has some good sea food restaurants on the beach but that's really about it. Just a sleepy quiet area for the most part. If i was going to live that far south i would live in Bang Sarae. Right between Pattaya and Ban Chang, better beach, and more options for a westener
  9. Lol. Yeah the Thai's that love their Leo always used to joke about the reason Chang has the two elephants whose heads are about to collide is because that is how your head is going to feel in the morning. That was my main beer for a while until they started fucking around with the taste. It is still ok and i prefer it over Leo, Singh isn't even an option for me. SML has been my main for quite a few years now.
  10. When Chang started experimenting the original version was and they made "Export" at 5% and Chang Light - which was pretty good- at 4.2%. The new Chang Classic at 5% is ok but i prefer the old 6.4% version
  11. Thanks for the report Evil. Both the burger and minute steak look good especially at that price. I agree looks like a bit too much dressing on the burger but then again that is easily solved, will be stopping by soon.
  12. I have come to really like the clinic at Hanuman Statue, the corner where Theppraya turns to the beach and Jomtien 2nd rd. I believe it is called something like Anaya. I've been there for a few things and always get sorted out quickly and inexpensive.
  13. That place definitely defines the word "boutique"!
  14. If you want places selling illegal things to remain in business it's probably best not to mention them by name and location on open forums. Unfortunately i have had quite a few friends go back to smoking because of the ban.
  15. I remember a long time ago bringing two Misty's girls back to Flipper Lodge soi 8. No charges, just the girls id, and the guard called me when the girls wanted to leave to make sure everything was ok first.
  16. Too funny. I can just picture a Thai teen and his shorty combining brain power to figure wtf could have happened
  17. That's what i keep doing wrong, forgetting to load my cordless power tools into the back of my car for just such occasions.
  18. I use Ad Block Plus in Firefox. Thaivisa always tries to persuade me to turn it off by making me wait 8 seconds before i can view the page. I won't give them the satisfaction :)
  19. I went to a fair there about 4 years ago. The whole thing was pretty well done.
  20. When i was doing real estate here a few years ago the market, especially condos, were very over built and over priced. IMHO nothing has really changed. They are a few good opportunities out there where developers are offering 7% to 10% guaranteed return for a few years. Where are you looking to buy? If you are interested in the Pratumnak area a long time friend of mine is a developer and offering deals on both his completed building and the one he is building now. I could get you in touch with him. BTW i am not in real estate anymore and have no financial interest in this.

    New TM6

On the new tm 6 forms after you clear immigration you will only have a smaller departure card part of the form left. When they ask for that tm 6 number it is the number right under the bar code.
  22. You can go onto the Addicts board and in the non-members section there is a big thread on this, also you can look him up on there his board handle is "footy madstreams". I bought a box from him and so far no complaints
  23. Work out they said...life some weights they said....it will be good for you they said......LOL. Too funny thanks for sharing

    New TM6

As i said above i use the number off of my re-entry permit as told to me by the immigration officer. Sorry for confusing you. i didn't realize i needed to be so explicit. Next time i will use the phrase "non "o" visa based on marriage for those few that never of heard of such common terms like marriage visa or business visa. FFS even at immigration you ask for marry visa application or ekasan visa panrayaa thai.
