I know, just easier to say and usually needs no explanation

    New TM6

My marriage visa doesn't have a number on it. As Atlas said i use the number on my re-entry permit. This was explained to me the way to do it by the immigration officer at "she-wanna-boom".

    re entry

There seems to be some growing confusion on this, i have heard many discussions pertaining to the 24 hours tm 30 report and re-entering the country. This is my understanding of it. With a visa extension, tourist visa, or visa obtained with an address outside Thailand any re-entry must be reported with in 24 hours by where you check in or you personally. With a one year visa obtained in Thailand residing in Thailand as long as you have not checked out your status is still valid provided you are still staying at the address on your visa application, therefore where you are staying or you perso
  4. I stay out near soi kor pai. I had to shit can 3bb. I now use true and have much better luck with them.
  5. 500 baht for filling out a page and a half of a form is taking the piss. Wasn't more than a few years ago the filipinos there would do it for free + tip when you did your picture and copies there. I just did my re-entry permit and they charged me 100 for the form and 50 for the pic. I wouldn't pay anymore than that
  6. Pig & Whistle soi 7 used to do a very good one
  7. Knowing the Thais and how good they are at directions i'm surprised there isn't a sign pointing in a direction saying 'over dere"
  8. Yeah i've seen the prices on Sky Scanner and are about $250.00 less on average. Going to have to give them a try
  9. You're going to have a blast. Yes while in Phuket it is definitely worth a few nights out. It's not Pattaya but then again what else is? Good to see a few different places on your first trip.
  10. Thanks for the feedback, i just may give them a go this year. Just hard to give up EVA and terminal 2 at TaoYuan airport, kind of like an old shoe but for a couple hundred $$$ less???
  11. On China Southern can you book your seat online? I have been looking at them for a while but hesitant to take a budget carrier for such a long flight
  12. I think Butch has the best advice on this one. Only other thing i can think of off hand would be to double up on the mt and pull the bike along. I have seen it done here
  13. Most my time swimming in Patts has been on Pratumnak. Water just seems a bit cleaner and have never gotten sick from it.
  14. There was a place i used to go to back in Hollywood. They would put a cheese burger in a pita bread and use mid east style salad in in the pita with it. Was delicious. It was called a pita burger. Not sure if it fits in the confines of a "hamburger" bit i really enjoyed it.
  15. Thanks for the replies. I was in Numchai a few days ago where i bought my new tv, they said they didn't want it. The screen is burnt out and they weren't interested, it is a Phillips which from what i hear doesn't have a parts station here, which is why i thought it may be attractive to a repair shop. Amorn is out based on past experience. It looks like maybe placing an ad on Baht and Sold may be the only option, or i can just set it outside and it'll be gone in just a few minutes,,,lol
  16. Hello Gents. I was wondering if anyone on here could recommend a good electronics repair shop. The one i used to go to had since closed. I have a tv on the blink and was hoping i could get it fixed or sold for parts. TIA
  17. Go get 'em MGDN. This no beef bs is bs! When will Carls Jr Thailand realize that not all of us are slipping to the vegan side and food intake isn't governed by religion, give us back out beef and do it properly
  18. Maybe they have gone totally Buddhist. Either way Carls Jr then....Carls Jr now
  19. The last time i came through immigration at Swampy it took me three minutes to clear, never seen it that empty. I have heard horror stories like Evil's before, i guess sometimes it is just the luck of the draw
  20. I haven't sone the 90 day check in in a while as work has been keeping me busy. I remember the last few times i went in to do it i was there no longer than 5 minutes each time. That is one thing they do have down well there now :)
  21. We have a fire extinguisher, flashlight with batteries and candles. Usually there are 2 jugs of water in the house and a bag of rice along with -- of course -- mama noodles. We also have a gas burner so making things like hot water for coffee, noodles, etc is not a worry. I have a perfectly good electric 4 burner hob n hood and they still prefer the gas, not waste electic.
  22. IMO nothing about EVA is as good as it used to be. They are still ok and probably the best value for the money though
  23. I have noticed that EVA is using the 3-4-3 on their short leg flights and the 3-3-3 on their long hauls. On their 3-4-3 set ups in the back it narrows down to a 2-3-2. Do not book these unless you are very short and thin, the seats are even smaller than regular economy
  24. Sad to hear the Green Bottle has been gutted. Fond memories of that place. Even though it has been years since i've been in there, everytime i pass by it reminds me of old Pattaya. One of my first non p4p shags in Pattaya was a service girl there
  25. Thanks for the write up Evil. I was wondering about this place and what a 100 baht roast would really be like. Seems now i'll have to give it a go
