I know somebody who had a baby born there recently. All the procedures, medical costs and medicine were ฿5,200. Brilliant service, very clean hospital and superb, dedicated staff. Good for babies, bad for corns.

Sorry my first contribution to this thread comes at the end of the season and is also a plug. A new radio station on FM will be set up in the Pattaya area in July called Sport Talk. They have the radio commentary rights to the EPL for three years an will relay the commentary of live games and offer live commentary online. I'll be doing some voiceover work for them. Not sure if the frequency yet.

I know of a couple of half Thai half Bangladeshi girls who used to work in the gogos, but not seen them for years. When a darker skinned Thai girl gets a nose job she looks Indian anyway.

I do get a feeling that this year Songkran feels a little different, a little more subdued. It will all still get mental but the start is a lot quieter.

Yes Jacko it is and I would always ask anyone who defends Songkran to ask themselves if they would be happy arriving at work soaking wet. But, as I already said, I'm exhausted arguing about Songkran, I'm going to grin and bear it this year.

I'm really going to try and not moan about Songkran excessively this year. I hate it like a lot on this thread, I realize the reason I hate it is because I love the town for the other 51 weeks and I can look forward to that. In answer to the OP, Beach Rd soi 7/8 seems to be where the festivities are at their worst. Enjoy

The guy all the gogos use has a shop on soi 16, opposite soi Daimind and just after the Sikh temple. He does work for the police too.

Can anyone help me? I would like some eucalyptus tree branches to put in my Sugar Gliders cage. ( they are small marsupials from Australia) I have failed to find any in Pattaya, but told they're all over North Thailand. Anyone in N Thailand coming down to Patts can help me it would be appreciated. Just need a few branches. Thanks
