Koh Chang is the bigger busier island with roads and traffic, bars and plenty of hotels and restaurants. Koh Maak is a much smaller and quieter island good for a relaxing holiday without traffic, not much to do though but to enjoy the beach and sun. Plahgat

Hi! Just before I left Pattaya last week I saw that there are some new bar construction at the righthand side corner at the entrance to Soi Diamond from Walking Street (under the "Rocket"). Also the "Atlantis a GoGo" (ex Paris Super a GoGo) next door has been demolished. Anyone know what's going to be built? Are they a joint venture or two different establishments? Gonna be GoGo bars or just beerbars? Just curious! Plahgat

It was available in the pharmacies in Pattaya some years ago and I tried it twice. Kind of spongy jelly type of tablet that you'd let dissolve under your tongue for 20 minutes or so, nice taste of orange, but no effect whatsoever! Not long after that it disappeared from the shelves! Plahgat

Personally I prefer to be left alone and survey the scene for a while when I enter a GoGo bar, and when I've seen someone I fancy have her come over for a drink or a chat! I hate it when I enter a gogo and the moment I sit down immediately is assulted by an often old and/or ugly girl, that is all over me hassling me for LDs and then is reluctant to leave, preventing me to choose a girl of my own taste instead! If you tell them to leave some get very angry and might throw abuses at you because you don't like them, or just simply ignores your request and continues to hang on to you anyway until you in anger leaves! That is why I like to visit gogos like Heaven Above from time to time, because of it's no hassle policy! Plahgat

Looked at the China Garden a few days ago and it's 500 baht for standard room, without balcony and 800 baht for jacuzzi room if you stay 2 weeks or more now in the low season. Plahgat

I doubt you'll find anything with aircon and near Second RD or Soi Bua Khao for that price unless it's a spartan fanroom! There are a few places up around Third Rd especially near Carrefour in Central Pattaya that goes for 7000 baht up, but they are heavily occupied all the time, or up North and in in Nah-Kleua you might find places for less than 10000 baht. The further from the main roads and the beach cheaper rooms, but you'll be needing your own transport! If you can up the monthly rent to around 10000-15000 baht/month there are greater chances especially in the low season. Plahgat

What's Pink Viagra!? I know there's a generic Indian version of the Viagra called "Penegra" that has the same shape and content like the real Viagra except that it has a pink coating. Is it that one you mean? If so, it works like the other pills like Viagra, Kamagra, Caverta and so on containing the active ingredient Sildenafil! Although I don't think it is made for females to use? I heard girls tell me that they have tried ED pills out of curiousity, but they didn't notice any effects!? Plahgat

That is the norm I think that if something is missing or broken you have to pay or the Maid might be charged! I have had broken glasses and dirty towels and sheets that i had to pay for when checking out! Many years ago I stayed at the old Siri Hotel in Korat and after checking out and arriving at my next destination I noticed that I have forgotten to give back my room-key! Being honest I put it in a thick envelope and sent it back to the hotel by post, and thought that was it! A year later I was back at Siri Hotel again and hardly had I stepped into the reception area when tha cleaning Maid that I recognised from last year came running over to me looking very upset that I forgot the key last year and that she had to pay 50 baht of her own money to make a new one! I told her I sent it back but she said she never saw it again, so I payed her a 100 baht to make her calm down! They never forget! Plahgat

Strange that no one has commented about the doctor fish's health so far!? Often hundreds or even thousands of fish are forced to live in a small overpopulated tanks without any more food than the dryed dead skin of tourists! Many fishes die of malnutrition and deseases! Originally they used fish from the Middle Eastern and Turkey a species called Garra rufa, but today you'll see lots of different species used, they'll more or less just throw in anything that will nibble on your feet when they are hungry! In Thailand they predominantly use their own species Gyrinocheilus aymonieri (Chinese Algae eater) a wellknown aquariumfish, that in nature lives in fast streams and eats algae from rocks and stones. The original spafish the Garra rufa that is used in openair natural spas in Turkey, are said to be experts in cleaning the skin of people suffering from psoriasis, but I doubt any of the other fish used have any positive medical benefits to your skin at all! Just another crazy human invention to use innocent animals to make money! Plahgat

Personally I hate when they are in town! Standing in the way everywhere especially on WS and screaming and shouting, a couple of Afro Americans walking on the sidewalk on Second Rd yesterday some how decided that they where the "kings" of Pattaya and deliberately bumped into lots of other tourists and pededestrians ploughing their way ahead and when I tried to pass them one of them punched me an hard elbow to the side that had me plunge off the sidewalk and bump into a parked car! They are totally out of control walks into the gogos with beer bought at 7/11 starts grouping all girls they can get their hands on, and stands in the way and blocks the view, gets up on stage totally makes a fool out of themselves and no respect at all for either the gogo girls staff and not to forget the rest of us true mongers trying to enjoy the scene in a more normal decent manner! They also barfine all the prettier girls for short times and only left the old skanks for the rest of us! I actually decided to go to BKK twice already to get away from the madness! Seems like tonight probably will be a total mayhem out on Walking Street, because at 15.00 in the day the cobras are swarming all over the place already, hopefully it's the last few days before they go home, and I for one will be relieved when they leave! Pure superstition! Anything natural that is not conforming to the norm and is not apprehendable to the rural Thais minds is often regarded as "magic" or "holy"! Same thing with "Albino" animals, they are regarded sacred and revered, and in a way also us farangs with our paler complexion we are regarded as "superior" and looked upon with envy by many rural Thais! They were doomed since day one! A non-aircon Shopping Mall in 35 degrees heat!? Although it stands on a big space there aren't that many shops to draw the crowds either. Front shops might be doing OK, but behind it's all dead. Plahgat

I think it's the new building next to LK Royal Suite on Soi Bua Khao opposite the night market, near to Soi 8. Looks good but I bet the rooms facing the front could get noisy at night with all the traffic and market outside? Plahgat
