I believe BA is taking delivery of of it's first A380 this week with the wing fix installed prior to delivery..... Existing Operators are taking planes out of service to retrofit the wing fix.

Postponed rather than cancelled - now expected to be October 2014. Reason given "important technical moddifications" Thai's A380's will be going in for the "wing fix" so they won't have enough to add the LHR route until next year..

It seems as though I have upset a BM who is currently suffering from having to wear a gimp mask. I gave him a warning and that warning was given for a reason, which was explained to him, but it appears as though I have upset him. Well, if he had behaved himself he wouldn't have got the warning, but he chose to spit the dummy out.

Just in case you hadn't noticed but there are sub-forums where stuff like relationships and places outside of Pattaya can be discussed. Perhaps you would prefer it if we removed those forums and banned all members with Thai wives and those that had the cheek to live outside of Pattaya and post about their experiences!

Well, I've just checked my dates for October and the Emirates prices haven't dropped on those dates! Looks like I made the right move booking when I did.

The day before I flew to Thailand in April I was pricing up flights for a trip in October and in the afternoon the flights I wanted (MAN- BKK with Emirates) were coming up at £1800 for 3 of us.... by midnight the price had shot up to £2550 for 3. The lowest I have seen it since was £2250 for the flights I wanted. Started looking at alternatives and managed to get NCL-BKK with Emirates for £1860 for the 3 of us with the flight times I wanted - the only downside being that car parking at Newcastle airport is nearly double what I pay at Manchester.

I've just booked a Pattaya - Swampy run via the website and found it quite easy to use, and no problems with my card being accepted. Decided on flying up to Sukhothai rather than suffering a bus, and the other half's cute sister is going to pick me up at Sukhothai......

It's easy to spot why I got a negative rep for my post. Sadly the reason for my comment about the 747 was due to it's construction. On both legs I was dumped in the seats by the staircase/galley area and on a full plane there was no chance of changing seats.

My worst flight to Thailand was on a 747 Combi!!! Horrible plane!

Looks like the Formula 1 Championship will be adding Thailand to the calendar in 2014, and it will be a night race around a street circuit, just like the Singapore Grand Prix.... Also....
