Well it all happens at St Andrews this week.

I've just heard on the radio that a Scottish banknote will be issued featuring a picture of Jack Nicklaus.

Are they serious? Is this real money? Can you use it for ST? :P

So I can front up to the exchange in Beach Road with a wad of Golden Bears.....

Maybe somebody should issue a three pound note with Greg Normans picture.

Too funny and off we go with the Rydeher Cup pre hype.

I will be playing a round with Doggie at Green Valley in a couple of hours so weill try and secure some free samples. This, I may add, will be my last round for 5 weeks as off to the UK on Thursday night.

Just to show our tolerance to our boys across the water we played several days with Big Kev last week and and I have to say that he is now a force to be reckoned with for November. He has also slimmed down and I can't see him retiring on the 13th this year, so Deuce mon capitan, maybe we need to ensure that he has more opposition than Ben and A.M. this year to ensure a half at least. LOL. Result of skins at Phoenix on Friday should not be seen as an indication of his new found game. Scoobie 10, Doggie 4, Me 4 and Big Kev 0. Sorry Kev but after getting 0 myself a few days earlier I could not resist it.LOL.

Nice seeing you Kev and look forward to November mate.

Hilly,

Believe it or not, there are actually golf courses in the UK. :D

Just a few, Brian

Actually, Doug Sanders and I have something in common :P - we both 3 putted the 18th on the Old Course AND we both went into the Swilken Burn on the 1st. (Sanders did it in his 1st round).

I prefer to remember getting down in 2 from a bit over 90 feet on the 8th hole - albeit for a bogey.

Talking about the Old Course, I put my 2nd on the par 5 5th into one of these pot bunkers. I got into it and all I could see was sand, the bunker face and sky. I got out in one but I swear that the ball went further in an upward direction than it did in a forward direction. My 4th shot ended up just short of the green and fortunately I read the line of the putt spot on as if it had not struck the pin it would have gone about 12 feet past.

As a high handicap duffer, getting a 6 on a par 5 after being in a pot bunker was bloody good! :D
