You shouldn't get much rain, if any, in June, but it will be HOT. HOTTEST time of the year is April, May, and June. Normally, most of the rain is over by November, but not this year. It is still raining occasionally, but then the rains started late this year. November is generally cooler and by the end of November it might, Might, get down into the low/mid 80s. MAYBE. Varies from year to year.

I am going april to august next year and went june ,july this year so for me its great, not wet, and it's bloody hot but there is plenty of AC for those that cant cope with the heat.

I was also aprehensive about the heat and humidity. Yes it's hot and yes it's humid but there are also plenty of ways to beat the heat: lots of places with A/C, and those without AC have fans. There are plenty of cool towels to wipe you face and plenty of girls to do the wiping. Also taking lots of showers is normal.

After the sun goes down it feels a lot cooler, even comfortable. You'll be doing most of your exploring at night so this is perfect.

November is less humid than June however I'd definitely go in June if you've got the chance. You'll likely want to return in November.

Because I like to grow orchids, I have a recording maximum/minimum thermometer on my balcony (in the shade) which measures the temperature in degrees Fahrenheit. In June this year the max temperature was 88 and the minumum was 76. So far this month the max is 90 and the min is 75. Not much difference, right? So tell me again what you are worried about?

Cheers

Air fares during the summer months go up for American traveliers.

Now is the best time to come to SEA both weather and cost.

As far as getting used to the heat it really depends on you. In the summer you learn that shade is your best friend, fans help alot and swimming is a great way to beat the heat. Be careful of too much alcahol very easy to over indulge and get dehydrated, be sure to drink plenty of water. The weather now is very plesant, cool nights and then cool most of the day.

Some will say it is better to come in low season because lower cost of most everything, and better pickings in bars. Yes cost for everything during high tourist sason are somewhat more. As for better pickings, well Pattaya expands and contracts with the tourist seasons if there is money to be made they will come. What I think is best about this time of year is the weather and there is also more going on here.....

June is fine -- just hot, but so what? A/C will be everywhere you go inside. Any decent hotel has a pool, so a quick swim each day really cools your body off.

Fortunately lots of sweaty girls, but unfortunately also lots of sweaty men. :banghead

I would just stay home if i were you. reasons why :beer Too busy now, dec-mar, prices will be high, and all the stunners will already be barfined. April they have that darned holiday where they spray water on you that may be untreated so you will be exposed to disease and who wants to spend their holiday in the hospital. May-August is far to hot for farang, who want to spend their holiday sweating all over, stay home. Sept to November it rains too much and who wants to spend their vacation drenching wet.

you are missing the picture dude, PATTAYA IS ABOUT THE PUSSY.

I have been to Pattaya several times at all times of the year. I've been there in the "quiet" summer months and at New Year. As long as you use your head and don't do anything stupid you can have great time there at anytime of the year. I've never found the weather or the amount of people there to have any bearing on the quality of my trip.

Just go!

As others have pointed out the weather shouldn't be a factor. I'm knocking on the door of 70 years and play golf two or three times per week all year round. I keep my thermos topped up with iced water at all times as I drink at least half a gallon on my way round. I also keep a polythene bag in which I keep a face flannel. My caddy keeps this bag topped up with ice from the kiosks around the course. This may not be a practical solution for you walking (staggering?) round town.

Mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the midday sun. It should be remembered that English gentlemen do not sweat. They gently perspire. :clueless

I can go any time in june or in november. My questions is this will the weather (rain and humidity) be too much in june for the average american from Seattle, WA, or do think the sooner I can go the better?

How can there be too much rain for someone from Seattle????? :chogdee2

I arrived in the middle of June this year and found the weather to be fine. OK it did rain a few times in the evening, but not for long. One time, I was in Soi 7 so where better to shelter from a downpour than in a bar.

Another time, I had just boarded a baht bus (near the Dolphon roundabout) and by the time I got off at Soi 7, the rain had stopped. :D

As others have said, come in both June and November. :P

  • 2 weeks later...

As pointed out earlier your airfare will be higher in June than November, on the plus side this coming June the World cup will be taking place so you should have the company of many well behaved punters from Europe in town. B)

GEES,does it rain in Pattaya?

Ive been there seven times and never noticed the weather,i guess there are too many women and bars to keep my mind and body occupied.

Anyway an easy so solution to the weather might be.

If its too hot, stay in your room with a Thai Darling. If its raining ,stay in your room with two Thai Darlings.

JUST GET OVER THERE,you wont care if it SNOWS the whole time.
