Question to Kuranda Bagman (or Dennis):

I travel with a laptop computer and it is important that I can safely store it. So... is the in-room safe large enough to accommodate a 13" x 10-1/2" laptop? In Kuranda's photo, it looks like the laptop didn't fit, but I couldn't tell what its size is.

So how do people secure their laptops? There aren't many hiding places in a room.

I think most if not all the rooms have cabinets with locking drawers that are large enough to put your laptop in.

I was in room 10 last time and it had a TV stand with drawers that I used for my laptop.

Am very happy that I am booked in again in August.

I usually locked my laptop in my suitcase but I'd be amazed if you have security issues at the Metro.

I bought an Acer Aspire One now which will be great for travelling.

G'day Sabaidii2

As others have mentioned, most of the rooms have lockable draws in the furniture that are big enough to store a laptop.

Regarding security in the rooms I have never had a problem, with Ice the cleaner and Took & Liam downstairs being completely honest, a very refreshing thing in Pattaya – so much so that these days when I stay there I leave my laptop out on the desk 24/7.

Having stayed at the Metro quite a few times since I did the initial review, it has now become more like my home away from home, with the only downside being that it has become so popular it can at times be difficult to get a booking.

In all honesty though, I do have one problem with staying at the Metro and that’s the bloody Irish owner getting me pissed – again !!!

I always left mine in a suitcase. I even left it in Jasmine Mansion in my room twice, for 10 days and for a week, while I went side trips. Or you could take one of those kensington locks with the steel cable.

I guess I could consider myself a lucky bastard as I have been confirmed into a superior room, so I have a couple of questions:

1. Are all the superior rooms on the top floor ?

2. The room AC is it controlled with a remote control ?

I will be there arriving from 19th to 25th June.

1) depends on the number of the room

1 & 3 are on the first floor

4 is on the 2nd floor

2) yes, room AC is controlled with a remote control.

Air cons are ok
