Displayed prices are for multiple nights. Check the site for price per night. I see hostels starting at 200b/day and hotels from 500b/day on agoda.

Jeez, I swear no one can keep track of all the new hotels that open in this city.

The area is very good for BMs, it is possible to spend 4 days and never sit at a red traffic light for the whole time. A colleague who has been inside has just told me it's a decent budget hotel and seems very clean, if the public rooms are any indication.

I had a look at the web site and I consider that Internet price is way out of line, but up to you and there are only about nine jillion Internet cafes in the area if you want to do that.

So all in all, seems quite good, although you didn't say what price you got.

woraburi hotel is ok nice roof top pool no problems with guests about a 7-8 minute walk to nana free shuttle when it is working. buffet breakfast but i cant belive how the prices have gone up stayed here when it first oprned about 5 years ago room 350 baht yes 350 baht then 500 then 700 then 900 now i think the cheapest rooms are over 1000 baht still not bad for bangkok one other thing they dont ask for the girls for id card all the time so i would ask them to take the girls id card to be on the safe side if you are going to pattaya after bangkok watch the taxi drivers outside they can try it on with the prices a little better option is the travel agent inside the woraburi you can get the mini bus for 4-500 baht. enjoy

hey redwood,

it doesn't say joiner fee--- it says not guest freindly. Big difference.

Moniten in pattaya does not allow anyone other than a registered guest in a room. So if you are staying there and you have your tilac with you when you register then they will let her come and go as she pleases. If she is not on the card then she is not allowed in the hotel.

but they don't charge a joiner

joe the hotels are like the girls someitmes they are not new, just new to us. LOL warburi was an old hotel 5 years ago.

Stayed there last year, nice big room on top floor.

Joiner fee was being charged.

Basic buffet breakfast, free shuttle bus was not always available.

long walk to nana plaza although on same soi.

Rooftop pool was OK although a little small.

I would stay again if for a night or 2 but would

find somewhere closer to suk rd for a longer stay.

Just to clarify, my lady friend, tilac etc is a registered guest and therefore no joiner fees or anything else will apply....a simple way to make her and myself more comfortable, no more cost and just a short email to travel agent (knows me and why I am there).....also shows respect and courtesy to her whilst she stays with me... :gulp

hey redwood,

Maybe poor directions on my part but what it says (caps are theirs) is:

"BREAKING NEWS, WORABURI INN AND JASMINE SUITES [sukhumvit Soi 23] ARE NO LONGER GUEST FRIENDLY. JOINERS ARE BEING CHARGED EVEN IF YOU BOOK A DOUBLE."

But in the case of the OP it probably doesn't apply anyway, so never mind.

I've stayed there numerous times over the last 3 years and would agree that the rate has crept upwards. Then again, so have all the other hotels in that area and Bangkok in general. You cannot compare it to the Nana.

The shuttle bus is free but often out of service or already on a job. A walk is only 10 minutes max so it is not too far. Buffet breakfast is free and you might eat something but you would be disappointed if you paid a lot for it. Usually just some coffee and toast with an egg.

TV is basic hotel stuff, rooftop pool is nice but I find it cold ! Then again, what do you expect for about Bt1000 ? Often cheapest on latestays.com

I'll stay there again as there is nothing really wrong with it. Others cost more so for the budget concious, it has a great appeal.
