Club Misty's Vip Card Launch

Recommended Posts

We shall also be introducing a new Happy Hour from 8.00pm - 10.00pm the details of which are as follows:

ALL Bottled Beer (with the exception of Corona) = 90 Baht.

Whaaaaaat?...you have got to be stiffing me!

For most bars that I drink in 90 baht for a bottle of beer is the non-happy hour price - that is all night long - and you expect me to rush down to Misty's by 10pm to pay 90 baht in their happy hour???

Sorry... back of the class for you.

This is a new all-time low, ever for you cheshirePom.

A business manager places an announcement promoting his bar in the "Bars/Gogos/Business Forum" and you, in your own twisted way, turn it into an advertisement for a competing business. Not kosher by any stretch of the imagination.

Sheeeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzzzz!!!!!

PSP is presenting this VIP card kaboodle as though it was the deal of the century... almost equivalent to the second coming.

Full marks to Cheshire Tom for pointing out that other bars are providing far, far better deals :clap1

Arno, technically "the front steps of 7-11" isn't a bar. :beer

:beer Board seems to be going along fine. You takes advantage of the free advertising, you take the risk of being critiqued. Mulphy couldn't take it, PSP seems to be doing very well under more of an onslaught. The board is here to service the members, not members' bars. (I think.....)

Me too, LDK.

That is, if Paul will set one aside for me until my next visit?

Does the VIP discount apply to Happy Hour prices too, Paul?

How many times do you want him to say?

A so far unanswered question is how much for a SML outside Happy Hours...............

Misty's and Catz already on my to visit list, saw some of those photos from Catz on a previous post a while ago, so how old are the photos and are those girls still currently employed by that establishment.

I asked a simple question, "How much are your drinks outside Happy Hour?"

I'm just passing the time whilst waiting for an answer. :gone

Or should I give the street carts a miss because Bruno's is offering 10% discount this week?

Arno, Papillon and Cheshire Tom,

Are you guys under the impression that you are in any sense of the term customers whose patronage would be valued?

If any of you has ever actually been to Thailand, which I doubt, I'll bet you've never seen a bill with four figures in it in LOS in your lives, unless it was on Rightsaid's bill who'd just bought you a (not reciprocated) round.

From what I've read so far, PSP is a little shy of attributing value to anything, let alone customers.

 Enough times to know the price of drinks. In most places, at least.

Robin will be chuffed seeing this get bumped ...................... again.

I live in Thailand, sport.

And I can afford to.

That doesn't say a lot. The place is cheap as chips. (Except for certain nightspots

What a daft achievement. Being able to afford to live in Thailand. Just like the 63m others in the country, or what?

Got to agree Bruiser ..... this is what he said abour bars running discount schemes ....

"It may not be right but this is Thailand. Forget about it, it won't happen. You can run loyalty schemes in STarbucks or Bookazine, where the staff are university educated. But not in a bar run by rice picking serfs with bones through their noses!

Here's why: Discipline in a typical Thai business consists of salary cuts. Cut, cut, cut. Late for work? Cut. Take a drink without asking? Cut. Screw up a bill? It comes off your salary.

So the girl sees this coupon, she doesn't know what it is, and smells there's a good chance it's coming out of her pay. The owner probably thinks he explained it to the staff, but the staff don't know anything about it, and anyway the girl was just hired yesterday.

Never mind whether it's right or wrong, if you've been in this town for a while you should know better."

Maybe PSP should've listened to the guy who's "been in this town for a while"?

Rather, and the not insubstantial number that specifically came and retired here for that reason too. I could afford to live in the Uk, but would rather not give money away unnecessarily.

I have to say I stand by what I said earlier about loyalty cards. I don't like them myself, I find them more of a hassle than anything else, in fact I prefer to pay the extra rather than have to carry the damn things around. And that's when they DO work. Most of the time they don't, in Thailand generally and Pattaya pussy bars especially. It's almost inevitable that somebody will produce his VIP card in the distant future -- say, oh, next month -- and be told "no have." A girl will refuse to accept it out of fear that the cost will be cut from her wages -- a HIGHLY rational concern in this town -- and a customer will get his nose out of joint.

I remain skeptical, but as I said earlier in this thread, if anybody can pull it off it's Misty's. The wait staff at Misty's are the best in town, bar none. They are solid workers and consummate professionals (even the ones I feel up for lady drinks).

As for living in Thailand, as guys like Bruiser know (thanks mate), there's a difference between "scraping by" in Thailand (there are 60 million Thai citizens doing that right now) and LIVING in LOS.

Well, we'd agree on that point.

Who's Builder? :poke

Are you going to let the cat out of the bag and tell us how much a small bottle of Singha costs in Misty's outside Happy Hour? I'm sure that if anybody knew, you would?

No idea mate. I wrote Bruiser, not Builder, can't you read?

I absolutely did not go back and edit my post to read Bruiser.

Are you going to let the cat out of the bag and tell us how much a small bottle of Singha costs in Misty's outside Happy Hour? I'm sure that if anybody knew, you would?

Nope, sorry, Singha is not fit for human consumption. You can, however, get a bottle of always cold and refreshing Asahi. I'd tell you how much it is, but we both know you can't afford the joint, so I won't bother.

Well, look at the bright side, at least you're not dead.

I might be by the time someone coughs up how much a bottle of Singha costs in the place.

Do their dancers have rose-scented pussies, by any chance?

I just had a look at their website and was relieved to find "And just so you know, Misty's "Lady drinks" are no more expensive than our bottled beer."

Good stuff.

Yes they do, if by "rose" you mean "tunafish."

But you can't afford 'em anyway.
