All I can say here in Khon Kaen it is very very hot.

All I can say this month my elect bill will be very high for sure with the Air and fans on full blast.

I just hope the exchange rate improves next year so I can get away next April to cooler coast

areas with a nice sea breeze :D

So if any body is planning trips to north east Thailand be prepared for some serious hot weather,

drink lots of water and do the same as the Thais ,keep in shade and talc your body well,

This is the hardship and the price I have to apy for living my dream :eyecrazy

G'day Mick,

I spoke to the Ex-TGF in Phuket last night.

Its not nearly as hot down there but she was complaining thet it has been pissing down with rain the past few weeks.

Looks like the 1st monsoon has hit early this year.

Take care and hope to catch up in August!

It's pretty hot in Pattaya away from the sea.

Think it was 35 today, but sitting at traffic lights on your motorcycle with the sun baking your head it could be anything.

By afternoons I am holing up in the bedroom, nap and aircon.

At 4pm I look longingly north and east hoping for some thunderstorms to bubble up.

My kitchen gets the afternoon sun and should be done out in pine like a sauna.

I miss the big trees that used to be at the back.

My electricity bill will be a whopper!

My TGF has also been telling me how hot it is in Khon Kaen but she doesn't use the aircon and says the fan is enough but she will use aircon when I arrive,

Hope to catchup with you in KK if your around at the time Mick.

Same same in Udonthani. My elec/h2o bill was 1300bht last month sure to be higher this. The wife, who never had aircon and both kids spend all their indoor time in the bedroom with the a/c on, I get a good laugh out of it. the kids do their best to use all the water in Udon. I'll be back in Udon in 3 weeks, and when I return to the states it will be the same here for the next 3 months. Thailand isn't hot to me, born and raised in SE Texas/Gulf Coast, hot and humid. We never had a/c until well after I was grown and gone, mom and dad bought a couple window units when I was well into my 20's.

I spoke to her too-she said the Mickster's talc idea doesn't work for us Westerners.

We are in NaJomtien near silverlake and I will never complain about the heat after that last cold spell we had, And we never use the aircon, we just leave all the windows open with good ceiling fans.

And yes all the windows have security grills. :banghead

I agree, I thought it was hotter, but probably the humidity makes it feel that way.

I don't have a thermometer about... so the numbers came off yahoo!

No, I believe it is better (weather-wise) in the UK (for now), sunny and a balmy 16degC, even in the wilds north of Luton!

Can't afford a place with a pool!

Been roasting here in Nakhon Phanom the last week or so, even the trusty breeze from the Mekong has disappeared.

Had to switch on the air for a few nights, and I very very rarely use the air con.

Think I'm turning Thai when I start suggesting to the girlfriend that we go to Tesco Lotus for a walk around and free air.

:banghead :a2m

Best Regards

Fireman Sam

Get these back in the 'Tired of Being Gay' thread.

You wake up and catch the sod shaving his legs (at best) with your razor!

It's the season when the aircon compressor keeps running all night!

Hottest day of the year expected Monday.......
