WOW!

BREAKING NEWS!............its over!

Trainer and owners have just announced that BLACK CAVIAR has done enough and has been retired.

25 from 25.

Australia's best ever sprinter.

Decided not to push their luck did they.

If its as you say why retire a perfectly good horse.

More negativity from you Samfreelander?

You didn't answer my last post?....did you not see it?

I'm happy that she retains her unblemished record of 25 from 25....the trainer knows best!

When asked why did you decide to retire her Peter Moody simply said she has done enough and 25 is a nice number.

Have another lemon mate :bhappy

becuase she can earn about $2 million a year on the track and her half brother sold for $5 million last week, so youd expect her own prodginey to go for something similiar if not more.

Why did that big coward Frankel retire early? , maybe becuase he can earn up to 60times in a season in the breeding barn what he could earn on the track

simple really

Some of the Talkback on the way home tonight was amzing

"She never entered any of the big races" apart from the 15 group 1's she won

"The trainer hand picked her races and always placed her in small fields The Trainer opened up the calender nominated for every big sprint race on the calender the owners of every other horse then scratched their horses

"she never ran in handicaps" aprt from the newmarket where in only her 10th start she carried top weight a record weight for a mare to win, and won by 10 lengths in a canter.

apart from Australia Handicaps are for handicappers eg horses who cant win without getting weight allowances all the worlds greatest races are WFA or level weights,

she never won a melbourne Cup :clueless , Muhamad Ali never won wimbeldon either

She never beat any good horses, apart from Hay List half a dozen times who was rated the second best sprinter in the world, numerous Golden Slipper winners and 40 odd group 1 winners

She is quite simply the best sprinter this country has ever seen in the last 60 years

Black Caviar, Sacred Kingdom, Rocket man , Silent Witness, Hay List are all australian bred, the best sprinters are here or breed here ,

None of them come here becuase its futile (unlike staying races where they send their hurdlers to beat us) , however it would of been great to see her flog them everywhere or even win at a mile or even try for the cox plate, all could of been possible.

Easily the best horse i have seen race in the flesh.

Why Would i Stop To Re-Explain A Post To You That Was Perfectly Self Explanatory In The First Place.

Shes Done Enough And 25 A Nice Number What A Load Of Bollox.

Moodys Not Stupid He Doesn't Want To Risk Another Race In case There Is A Breakdown And As Nus So Aptly Put Risk Losing 60 Times In Breeding What He Could Make On The Track. Yes Simple Really. .

Jacko you are about 9 posts too late with that reply.....

Yes, it is a bit of a bad habit I have to reply quickly, without reading on first. Just like you missing the word 'mare' in the very first line of the thread and about 12 times after! :D

The board whisperers?.....name calling?

You are consistent if nothing else.

Negative.

This was a positive discussion about Black Caviar. I didn't disagree with you......I just couldn't understand your negative comment.

Black Caviar's younger half brother is making a name for himself............and he is coming to England.

The new order in Australian racing took shape at Randwick on Saturday.

And in the way of royalty, the throne has been claimed by its rightful heir.

All Too Hard, the younger brother of the departing queen Black Caviar, produced the run of his career to win the All Aged Stakes and move to the top of the tree.

The colt who had beaten the best three-year-olds in the spring in the Caulfield Guineas and then ran a brave second in the Cox Plate, sealed his bid for the No.1 ranking in Australian racing with his defeat of the older horses in racing's ultimate test - Group One at weight-for-age.

"That's got to be the performance of the carnival," said the horse's senior part-owner Peter Orton of Vinery Stud.

"He was dominant, totally dominant."

Until Saturday the New Zealand colt It's A Dundeel had seemed likely to assume the crown.

But his defeat at long odds-on in the Queen Elizabeth Stakes made the difference.

All Too Hard, the son of Casino Prince and Black Caviar's dam Helsinge, had won his first two races this autumn, the CF Orr Stakes and the Futurity Stakes, both at Group One and both in Melbourne.

Like Black Caviar, he needed to do it in Sydney where he had disappointed last spring.

And 300 metres from the finish of the finish on Saturday, he looked to be struggling.

But in the style of a good horse he lifted and beat the front-running Rain Affair by a half length.

The only detraction from the performance is that All Too Hard will reign as a monarch in virtual exile.

If all goes to plan, he will leave for England within a couple of weeks, never to race in Australia again.

At this stage it is still unknown........but I doubt current trainer John Hawkes will part with him.

I'll keep you informed.

He's not a bad horse.......stronger than BLACK CAVIAR....better suited from 1600m up to 2000m. Back him and maybe you can keep having a dozen big bottles of beer and a chocolate bar :P
