I went to the Blues Factory at about 11.15pm yesterday. Not many people there, but it was rather early for this venue.

It was the first time I've been since Mary, the vocalist, departed. I'm not qualified to say but I can imagine it could be argued that the quality of the music has not suffered from her departure. However, I can say that IMHO the quality of the entertainment most certainly has. Snowman and the rest of the band might be very able musicians but they have about as much charisma as boiled cabbage.

If I return, I will not go until much later in the evening when Mr Morrison is doing his thing.

Ouch!

Who does the singing now?

What happened to Mary?

Last evening it was Snowman and a Thai-looking guy.

If I recall correctly, Mary left because she didn't want to work with a new drummer.

I went in there with my wife last July and it was quite good, i am very glad that Mary has left, i always thought she was a crap singer and looked like a hooker from beech rd. They had another woman in there who sang a few songs and was just ok, they do need a good female singer, some one like the lady who sings at the Rolling Stone bar at soi 16

Mary/Snowman never did it for me I'm afraid. Lam Morrison and co are awesome!

I went to the Blues Factory a lot when I first came to Thailand. It just never seemed to change and to me became old and outdated. Mary was past her prime for sure. Now I never go there and don't know anyone that does. Maybe newbies.

I have only been in the Factory a few times but I admit I went more for Lam than the Girl singer ,in fact after the first time I went and found out the band timings I only went when it was Lams Time.I have to say that was more about the different musical styles than any problem with the girls voice.

Maybe that was the appeal for me 1luv

I liked her and missed her on my last trip she combined three of my favourite type of woman;

Asian, Rock Chick and MILF.

My “date” always had to work harder for her wages if I’d taken her there before hitting the hotel room. :whistling:

I went to the Blues Factory many, many times in 2007, when I was in Thailand for five months. I stayed many days at the small hotel above Heaven Above (also owned by them) & the very cute receptionist working there at that time was (& probably still is) married to Lam Morrison. So she got me interested in going & I became a fan of Lam. And she is one hell of a cute babe - Lam has great taste in women!

Apparently, he lived in Australia for a number of years & I think that is where he refined his blues guitar style. Every time I visit Pattaya I always visit the Blues Factory at least once, but I almost always only ever see Snowman & Mary. They can be good, but Lam is better. Time for a change.

Mary was fun, didn't take herself too seriously, Greg Carroll was a cool frontman too. It can't be easy putting together a live set with variety every night.

I miss Mary very much. Such stage presence! I remember the first time I took my Lady there she was completely mesmerized.

Enjoy Snowman a lot. Have talked to him a couple times away from the Blues Factory and was extremely friendly and willing to chat.

Uh....any chance of having Mary come back for a reunion? Even if for one night?
