I think its funny too how he has been slamming FLB lately as a one of the most violent bars in pattaya (supposedly). Not sure how he justifies that... I dont think theres been a fight there at all in years, and the last one was drunken idiot customers feeling obnoxious... started the fight, then got arrested. Theres a youtube video if it somewhere.

 

Prolly been more fights in Noi's (Lee was always happy to put up a clip from the cam) than the FLB. Suprised Mulphy has not attacked Noi's as well considering the contempt he appears to hold Lee in now that he is no longer with us.

Interesting. As I remember it, I was in FLB the night of the now famous Mulphy bottling. Several rockhouse customers got up and left, then came to FLB. Maybe Mulphy is confused, as it seems that FLB is the place his customers go to escape violence.

68 Baht/SML is a fantastic deal and I'd be more than happy to splash out on a few Ladydrinks when the beer's that cheap.

Nev- I tried the promotion and it worked, but not like a charm. I had to do considerable talking and explaining at several levels before the service girl understood. It was mainly a problem of communication. The girl didn't appear to understand what Pattaya Talk was, so maybe the mamasan or someone on site needs to explain things a bit better. Another service girl who knew me from before could finally set things right, but without her help, I don't think I could have made myself understood.

 

Otherwise, everything was fine and I had a good time.

So we went there on the barcrawl last night... and the prices were back in line with what they were before now. Was still the most expensive SML of the night at 135 baht, but at least its not way out of the ballpark at 150.

 

The lineup was... well, lacking. One really cute showgirl, and 2 dancers that were passable cute... the rest were quite plain.

 

The entertainment was almost as it was before... Would have been better with 2 good looking show girls instead of just the one lol. But its always been up and down in that department at Xzone.

 

Lady drinks were 130 I think? Either 130 or 135 - I was already a bit mow. Again, high but not out of sight anymore.

 

All in all, I may go back if I am in the area... but not sure I would make a special trip out there even just from FLB unless I hear that the lineup improves, which I am sure it will with time (hopefully). Out of the 5 bars we went to, Xzone had the 2nd worst lineup - beat out only by Rhino, which had the crappiest lineup I have seen in a gogo in months lol. Spent the whole time in there reading news

XZone is our customer now for three Years. When the bar was sold to Nev, We were called in for some maintenance. We were specifically asked not to change any prices apart from Drought Beer. And I had a look at older records available to me recently: The reported 150 Baht prices for San Mig and Heineken were set earlier this Year by the old owners. After having taken the bar over, Nev did not raise any prices.

Well, that just goes to show that many people were having such a good time in the Xzone before the upheaval, that they didn't even notice the price of the drinks. Still, with a newly restarted Xzone, having lost a lot of their staff and trying to recover from such a hit, the previously high prices will be, and have been, noticed.

This leaves Xzone all alone and upstairs.

Back in February Club Relaxxx was one of my favourites and was always ticking over nicely when I was there. Shows how things can change over the course of a few months.

Amazing how tides turn, I remember you could rarely get squeezed in at Club Boesche years ago. Now that whole purpose built area is turning into an empty waste of space. It will possibly get redeveloped as a market! A sign of changing times. I know I found it a bit of a drag to walk all that way when doing a GO-GO night, but I used to go especially for my power drinking first hour. (Cheap bottles to 9.30). As I did at Sisterz, as I have at NLD1, (do they still have that offer), Champions and World Wide.

When the changes occured in September some off the girls were moved from X Zone to Relaxx and when the makeover was completed they moved back again. I automatically made the assumption that there was some management tie up here?
