Great story. I got a good laugh out of the rapid justice.

I'm glad the authorities took the practical approach to this and didn't press charges against the good Samaritan.

I just saw this on the news.

A satisfying story........ the news article didn't mention the fact that he reversed back over him and did it again!

Got to laugh at the title "Suspected thief" , its ok to run him over and break all his limbs, but we wouldnt wont to damage his reputation and label him a theif without a fair judicial trial

I was in Central America before Xmas when a chap walked down the aisle of a bus (cheap but crazy crowded) with a knife liberating the female passengers of their money and cell phones. 3/4 of the way down the aisle a male passenger leaned out of his seat and shot the guy 5 times and killed him.

Didn't even have to stand up. Pat on the back from the cops, kept his gun and the 43 eyewitnesses pretty much kept him out of any trouble.

Don't bring a knife to a gunfight was the expression of the day. "No lleves un cuchillo al tiroteo".

I wonder what the truck driver would have done if he had learned that the guy on the motorcycle was actually a detective trying to retrieve a stolen item from a known thief.

Now in Ricktoronto's story, It was obvius who the real crooks were.

Similiar situation in Costa Rica. A retiree on holiday snapped the neck of a thief killing him.
