The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

For my last night in Pattaya my mouth was all twisted up for some Mexican food. I headed over to soi 7 were the Tequila Reef is located. First the good news. The service was excellent and the beer was very cold. Just the way I like it. The tortilla soup was freshly prepared and was suburb. Now the not so good. I had the three piece appetizer. This included a cheese flat bread that was tasty. The chicken wings were tasteless and overcooked. There was a third item that was a wrap that was not to my taste.

I stopped there for Taco Tuesday a few months ago, my mistake. Only Blue Parrot now for my Mexican food fix. I do enjoy the mango margaritas at Tequila Reef, however.

In my experience, Tequila Reef can be hit or miss. Mostly, they go OK, but once in a while (depending on the cook, I think), they seem to get it wrong. Anyway, I still go there once in a while when I'm in town. At the right time of day, you can sit at a booth in the window and watch all the beer bar cuties come to work.

I know a guy who made a point of eating there every time he was in the Soi 7 area, never got it really.

Google says Blue Parrot's on Pattayaland 2 Kev, before people end up at the other end of Beach Road.... come on lad!

Not always the food at Tequila Reef, sometimes the company, excellent rack - yes, I did take away the left overs....

One Taco Bell franchise would drive all of those pretend Mexican places to ruin ... and yeah TB is not authentic Mexican either.

Hello gentleman thanks for your feedback good and bad. We have been making a lot of adjustments and additions to the menu with a lot of positive feedback. Obviously consistency in Thailand can be challenging and we have also addressed this issue. Thanks for honest and constructive words, they are greatly appreciated.
