Any body remember Captan Kangaroo and Mr green Jeans from little kid time? It was an American show for pre schoolers. Not that I expecially want to see it again but good memories. Right up there with Romper Room and all the good little " do bees".

Route 66 & 77 Sunset Strip.

If you ever see a copy of Mad magazine's paperback 'Greasy Mad' they did a send up up of Route 66 where Ted Stools and Bud Mudrock drive around but cant find anyone that needs their help. It's quite funny.

I'm guessing the town of Hooterville in Petticoat Junction didn't have any naughty subtext back in those days, LOL

Watching Who's the Boss now, been a long time since I've seen it.

Funny how all the 80's sitcoms had that same type of bouncy upbeat theme music.

Great stuff! Thanks Barreta

I shall have a look on TW see what else was about right.

Did anyone see the thing about Masers in the news today....... 100 million times the power of normal microwaves. A British scientist (of course) but based on a decades old Japanese paper......Attributed to scrap machinery and a nagging wife it's a hell of a story. Google news today.

curious as to how well Roots has stood up over all these years.

8.5/10 as far as ratings go, but it's not scheduled for broadcast any time soon.

I liked Tiswas, classic kids Saturday morning show, mainly just to catch a glimpse of Sally James' soaking wet T-shirts and pertrudimg nipples, i was only 7 at the time haha

also Flash Gordon with Buster Crabbe.

Champion the Wonder Horse another favourite of mine.

Anything with Laurel & Hardy as well, greatest double act ever!!!

Watching an old Saturday Night Live tonight with Carrie Fisher as the host.

She wore a gold bikini, BEFORE she did it on Empire Strikes Back. She had a great rack back then.

She was also screwing Dan Akroyd back then, no shit.

Blues Brothers were the musical guest, before they made the movie.

Anyone know where their studio was back then ?

I was at their current studio on Easter weekend this year, and it's nothing like the one you see in the 70's episodes.

THE MOST sought after tickets in NYC, or so they say.
