LOL. All Hub has to add is a unprovoked personal attack. He follows me from thread to thread. Thread fucking along the way. Sad and lame.

Unfortunately my three week trip is almost over. I leave tomorrow morning. I called the rental agency and told them they could pick up the scooter early. The guy showed up quickly and I had no hassle

Yes, you wait 10 years for a proper quote and then five come along at once.

Why do you care who asked the question? It's a legitimate question.

So how do you get your babes back to Skytop?

From mobile device.

I don't like guys posting my picture on this forum. I choose not to answer questions from them. I'm still able to ride the Baht Bus with my women. When we get off they assist me walking. I'm slowly losing my balance.

When you go out on your scooter then, you don't pick up women?

I paid bar for a BG at the Cherry Bar the other day. I explained where Sky-Top is located and I met her there. I generally stay with a women, I've known for years. She works a few doors away from Sky-Top. No scooter needed.

I'm intrigued that, given his mobility issues, he chooses to stay in a guesthouse which is on the 'wrong side' of 2nd Rd to catch a baht bus, and has the typical narrow steep stairwells found in typical townhouse-style properties. I would have thought that somewhere like the Sabai Inn (or at least somewhere on the 'inside' of the bahtbus loop) would better serve the needs of someone with mobility issues.

You mean you don't like guys posting pics that look like you without your permission. Best not to threadfuck your own thread though - it may have some good info for some other BMs who find themselves in a similar situation to yourself.

Central Festival Mall on soi 9 is scooter friendly. Enter on Beach Rd and use the elevator.

  • 2 weeks later...

I had a dead scooter yesterday and called the rental agency. Talked to the guy who rented me the scooter and explained what was wrong. He said he be right over and see if he could fix it. About 20 minutes later he arrived and was unable to repair it. He told me he'd be back within the hour with a replacement. By the time I was back from breakfast. My new scooter had arrived. Good service.

Royal Garden Shopping Center is not scooter friendly from the street. You have to go past the entrance on 2nd Road going towards Walking Street about 20 meters and there is a cut out to the sidewalk and you have enough room to navigate to the shopping center.

Unfortunately my three week trip is almost over. I leave tomorrow morning. I called the rental agency and told them they could pick up the scooter early. The guy showed up quickly and I had no hassle getting my 5K Baht deposit back. All in all this was a very positive experience for me. For the guy with limited mobility renting a scooter is a workable alternative . I will rent again when I return to Pattaya next year.

Doesn't time fly! Have a good trip. It may be worth considering staying at The Hilton on your next trip, rather than driving to and from Central Plaza and worrying about climbing (or descending) steep stairs in a guesthouse.

I bought a scooter for my next cruise. The airlines are required to transport my scooter for free.

I'm not surprised you'd figure out a way to get regular paying passengers to subsidize yet another one of your disabilities.

I am always surprised at the guts shown by guys who come to pattaya and their mobility is so bad they have to use wheelchairs/scooters. Its damn hard to walk around this place, it must be hell on any type of wheelchair or scooter to get around here.

Absolutely, have thought the same often.

No pavements, frequent blockages and heavy traffic, and this guy is buzzing down the middle of Klang at 5 kph with bikes buzzing round him.

Last trip, I'd travel from Sky-Top to Tropical Bert's. I'd cross over 2nd Road. When I got to Beach Road, I'd wait for a break in traffic then cross. Once I was on the promenade the drive up Beach Road was easy. Many cutouts along the way to Walking Street. Easy to cross back over. One has to use common sense and a heightened sense of personal safety.

I'm familiar with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. Since my military connected disabilities qualify me. I take full advantage. Once again my Cambridge education pays off.
