Thailand has a skier for the forthcoming Winter Olympics

Recommended Posts

Have just read on Beebs News texts, that Vanessa Mae, the world renowned "fiddle player" and "hottie", has just met the qualification standards to compete. She is competing for Thailand, using her Thai (father) name, Vanessa Vanakorn.........Sounds a bit like the "Eddie the Eagle" venture to me, but good on her I say !

Rather see her pole dancing than playing the violin or skiing for that matter...

I adore this woman.

She's in there with Bardot, Pfeiffer, Zeta-Jones and Vivienne Neeves, (if anyone remembers her)…. in my personal droolings.

Now that I know she's up and down those slopes like a fiddler's elbow it makes her The perfect woman.

Sadly I must accept that she wouldn't give me the snot off her ski-gloves.

Still I will be watching thanks for the news.

Oh and Patna, nice photos in the boobies thread.

Funnily enough, I was speaking to some Thai friends about this last week - I had heard about it last winter but it seemed to have died out. Glad to see she's made the grade.

I hope Eurovision on BTV cable in Jomtien show every minute of the Winter Olympics in Sochi, when they start next week. Austria and Germany should bag quite a few medals. Australia is sending a reasonably good team and should be good for a medal or two.

Who can forget Eddie the Eagle, the ski jumper. He will be part of Olympic games history forever. :lsmile

I read a Daily Mail (UK) article where Eddie was a big hit with the women and had to beat them off with a stick!

I read the paper version but here is the on-line one.

Quite a few of the top class ski jumpers and even a few of the medal winners were annoyed, when Eddie received more attention and praise than they did and wanted him banned from the sport. I have never tried ski jumping, but stood on top of some of the ramps and just looking down the ramps scared the shit out of me.
