Does Anton still do a good fatties buffet on Naklua Rd? Possibly the last one I went to in Pattaya outside of a breakfast buffet?

 

I think it is harsh to write off buffets as a balloon chaser's venue, perhaps a tongue in cheek comment, The ones in 5 star hotels are often a good deal and you get a higher quality of food and cooking than nearly all other Pattaya eateries.

You can enjoy such a variety of dishes.

Isn't the Cherry Restaurant buffet well regarded?

I don't like buffets. Why would anyone like food that wasn't freshly cooked? You would complain in a restaurant if you knew the food sat for 15 minutes after the chef cooked it.

You get tepid food, with the cheapest of ingredients. I only go under duress / to try new foods.

BTW, no way will you ever see me at an all-you-can-eat offering. That's hardly different than balloon chasing.

 

This comment was made mostly for effect (hyperbole) rather than considered opinion. Some buffets are okay...and you can tell if the venue is going to serve quality products or just cheap offal to fill your belly. I prefer the former, and from the comments here, there are some places that qualify for a visit with a big appetite.

There is that...I was invited to a buffet a week or so ago to try out the offerings, and since I got there after the main crowd, I was disgusted by the remaining portions in the stations. I nibbled a few items, but had to stop and go get a proper individually cooked meal afterwards.

 

 

Cherry's buffet is great value and as fresh as it gets. You should try it one day.

I fully understand your comment regardless. Same reason I hardly ever go to buffets although Cherry's tempt me to be a regular, I am just not a big eater. Only went to Tequila Reefs buffet because that was organized by a friend as a going away thing and BTW was very good. The thing about the 'good' buffets is that if you order let's say three of their meals individually, you would pay more. For big eaters there's a lot more. Going back to the OP, I am still debating if it is genuine or just a wind up. Being trained in graphic arts, that flier could give me sleepless nights just by looking at it...
