Thames walk, from Brentford to Kew Bridge

Recommended Posts

With such good weather at the moment in London, i thought i would take my camera out for a walk down along the River Thames.
The plan was to walk along and stop at every pub for a beer, but there seems to be quite a few pubs within a very short walk of each other around Kew, and that means i only got this far today.

Great set of pics, my old stamping ground when I lived in East Sheen and Twickenham. And Eel Pie Island, that brings back memories.

I live about 38 degrees north latitude in America and some trees such as redbud and dogwoods are blooming right now, but most of the timber is still barren.

London is at about 52 degrees north latitude and the timber is nearly all green. Kinda interesting.

Thanks for the pics of the tour.

41N and still no leaves. Grass is a bit green but not even a bud on the trees. Freezing rain this morning, Ice on my deck still at noon.

My boat is hight and dry for at least 2-3 more weeks. :(

Thanks for the pics. Blighty can certainly be lovely.

I reckon someone left their car idling too long in their driveway. So, Mother Nature sent down the Polar Vortex as punishment for us Americans living too high on the hog.

It was 82 on Sunday and by yesterday we had a skiff of snow and lows in the 20's. Its been a long hard winter.

Hi,

Wac sometimes has a beer near Kew Bridge as the Overground makes it easy to get to. Hammersmiths pubs, like the Dove, are my more regular hangout. London is a great city, the best in the World IMO.
