Perhaps I'm being thick but I don't understand the title to this thread.

And not a very sensible title to post on a Thai based forum. What do the mods think?

In gym parlance, the deep squat is the King; the bench press and dead lift are the two Princes.

Thanks for the explanation.

 

I've always thought gyms were alien places. Now I know they speak a different language there, my thought is compounded.

 

Out of interest, is this US, Thai, or universal gym parlance?

Given that many guys avoid training the deep squat, one [in many gyms] rarely hears it mentioned, but the King is definitely recognized as the deep squat in North American training circles.

We seldom encounter 'pencil necks' - our fond name for sedentary critics - in the gym; however, when they re-enter their comfort zones, they become 6 foot 6 and bullet proof. :D
