There are 2 apps called Bolt and Grab cover taxis.....

Yes a scooter can be rented cheap, you should have a home licence backed up with an IDP for the chance of a police stop. Park it in a safe place and take the keys with you. Roads are dangerous here.

All good advice.  And the last part is a massive understatement.  😃

Ive read how taxi drivers can sometimes overcharge.  Is there  a service with an app so you have a price before you get into the cab.  Ive also heard that renting a scooter is cheap, is it safe on the roads,  Id be worried that when parking the scooter it might be gone when I return

no it is not safe on the roads.  I would avoid hiring a scooter in Bangkok or Pattaya unless you have very good insurance.

You are worried about being ripped off for a  few baht in a taxi but willimg to risk your life.  besides which hiring a scooter is probably  more expensive than a local taxi.

They probably have menus in English at the location.  If not and you have any sort of reasonable smartphone, Google Translate is your friend.

Yes, It is a good idea to make reservations. It's large place you may want to be near the stage for the show.

the Tawandang in almost every city in Isaan are one company.  They are nightclubs with live entertainment.

the one in Bangkok is a totally different company.

I've not been to the one on Pattaya, too many other options,  and that may be permanently closed.

The one in Bangkok is definitely open. Reservations are definitely a good idea,  the menus are in both Thai and English.  Note it's a German Restaurant with Thai entertainmemt and both German and English food.
