  1. My friend uses it regularly and thinks it wonderful.
  2. I love the Simpsons.... American Beauty.
  3. Rather ironic that an airline offers compensation for their failings by issuing you a voucher that can only be utilized by risking them again.
  4. The Tempest
  5. Shirley Valentine
  6. China Airlines of Taiwan not fly anymore?
  7. Big deal for me was having a separate bedroom. Spent too much of my working life living in hotel type rooms. I could get up and have a coffee on the balcony or watch the News on the TV while the lazy tart slept.... in the good old days when their room-mates weren't always losing their keys. The location put a lot of people off, feeeling it was a bit away from things. That is hardly valid these days with the way Pattaya has expanded outwards. Now it is more the problem of a busy and noisy road outside, when it used to be a few shacks at the back with crowing cockerels. The age of the place must be a consideration too.
  8. Harvey Keitel
  9. I got a mileage ticket by booking 7 months in advance. Normally not a sniff of them for when I booked.
  10. Well if the flights are filling up, and you limited your search to specific dates, I would expect that.
  11. I agree with that, also a visiting friend agreed with me after my recommendation. I also used to use the Nova Park a lot and liked that. Dusit is good but obviously a different price range.
  12. The guys had recently seen 'The Avengers'!
  13. At that price it should be fitted with a pacemaker and defibrillator. And perhaps automatically jab you with a pin for those that simply nod off.
  14. Rode through it yesterday heading North. Still a big traffic jam but of course the tunnel part is not open yet, Actually as I was on my bike I was able to go around a few concrete barriers and get to the entrance of Soi Siam CC , by taking a life risking cut across southbound traffic. I am a little concerned that so much space on the surface seems to have been wasted. There is still going to be a lot of traffic there as Soi Siam CC, Nerm Plab Wan and Klang all meet, And of course Sukhumvit. It is where mini-buses have traditionally stopped to pick up, and traffic behind them be damned. There is a frequent issue further South for Northbound traffic as about 40+ large coaches seem to arrive all at the same time each morning to deliver Chinese tourists to Rubber World. Soon Northbound traffic will be able to bypass the junction at Klang to get to the queue at Nua (and the Motorway lights) more quickly, and Southbound get to the queue at Tai and the U-Turns! The police (when running short) will perhaps start their road blocks on that patch again to add to delays. The issues with traffic have changed in the last 3 years and have gone beyond a one tunnel solution.
  15. Well actually any pilot intent on taking the plane down, as we have seen in the non too distant past.
  16. Only if it can get a network signal, and that would be difficult at 35,000 ft. Not sure that is available in the hold. When I have used a phone in-flight I only log onto the aircraft Wireless Network and you have to pay somehow. There is a phone network signal in the cabin (but not all aircraft and carriers) if I recall correctly and it gets charged as roaming. I recall once talking to some pretentious girl in the A380 bar and asking her if she was paying roaming charges or had paid for the wireless network, and she told me no she hadn't. When I then asked her why she needed to look at her phone every 20 seconds at 35,000 feet over central India she turned her back on me! The reality is a pressure switch and or timer would do the job though.
  17. I was expecting that.... Ryan's Daughter
  18. Apparently quite a high one I hear.
  19. Great Expectations. (I remember seeing that classic version of the Dickens tale, so many times on UK TV as a kid)
  20. Spartacus. (Careful, Spartacus has featured a few times)
  21. I really like these cool rainy days rather than the usual oppressive heat.

  22. I ordered the delux verson, after inflating it went down on me!
  23. No knowledge wrt the Philippines sorry. If there is a group plan available there one would have to discover the particular 'group'....
  24. Robert Duvall
  25. I just started watching 'Breaking Bad'.... The pilot I really enjoyed and I had great hopes, although the second episode disappointed me. I shall continue as the recommendation came from a friend.
